Okay, so Ive been thinking of this for a bit, and some people agree with me on it.

Why do we still have the coal ore on the sides(and other areas on specific maps) of maps still? I know that this was to nerf soldier back when it could constantly camp on the side of a map when only an assassin or archer could take it out. Soldier was nerfed now so that it cant constantly spam when it panics or to camp. So why do we still have the coal parts of the maps?
(idk if this has been discussed already, so sorry if ive brought something up already discussed)

I say we should be able to make new ctf maps that dont require coal ore as it makes the map ugly, and its not necessary anymore.

    Anyone else agree?

Do you spend entire games looking at the side of the maps? Yes?

Does anybody care how the part nobody really sees looks? No

im talking for the map creators, cause I can tell thats a pain to do because of old soldiers abusing capabilities. Soldier cannot do that anymore thanks to the nerf, so why keep it? Also, you dont need to be insulting, "Does anybody care how the part nobody really sees looks?" The map creators do care about their maps and I'm sure its annoying to have to put coal ore everywhere.

How could soldier still abuse it? Soldier can only do it like 7 times before falling into the void now. It cant really be abused anymore as it would only take for the soldier to be hit back far enough where they cant even scale the thing in 7 clicks. Its also not worth the risk of even repeatedly using climb.

Soldiers nerf makes the coal ore really not necessary anymore

Or make it so coal stops soldier in a radius of 3by3 this makes it stop soldiers but you can make stuff look nice.

for like 10 seconds before falling into the void. You are not explaining how people could still abuse in a way that its actually a problem. Soldier can only rapidly right click about 7 times before falling into the void, and with the risk they can easily panic if they dont right click exactly right and then waste like 4.

So put this one layer inside the map, and they still cant use the side of the map. Thats actually a great idea. ^.^

Meh, soldiers would be able to save themselves if they get slapped off the map then. And soldier buffs r bad

Its not really a buff as the nerf to soldier makes it so they cant spam, and besides, you can literally just hit them farther back. I see that all the time

Soldier being able to be knocked off the map is a thing for a reason. Also, soldiers can easily still wallspam, climb up briefly, wallspam again, etc. The small nerf doesn't hugely alter this method of abusing maps.

I would like as a solution another plugin that specifically makes certain blocks soldier proof. This means that you could make any block a soldier-proof block. But not that whole type, just that one block.

Kind of like in sabotage you could use signs to make certain blocks turn into that block, while keeping the rest non-tester blocks.

A situation is you want black wool in area b soldierproof. So you do some fancy command or make it signs and those blocks can not be climbed on. Be hard to code though.
