Idea Heavy's Weapon

    Heavy is a pretty basic class, we all know that. You go in with full gear, do a LOT of damage if against low-medium armored classes, then come out possibly with steak left from your armor. When heavies come out of a big fight, they should need a medic because they are taking the hits for their team but also doing insane amounts of damage all the time, or they can be defending. It's an all around good class, but after playing ninja I realized that heavies have so much armor and they can 3 or 2 shot ninjas. Ninja is a class to get kills on medium armor people I know, but sometimes you need to get a cap for your team and there will be a heavy sitting right by the flag waiting for someone to rush over to the flag room or a ninja to pop up. But for ninjas, we cant do what we need to if there is a heavy sitting around every corner with a diamond sword - 2 less hearts damage than the ninja. 2 hearts makes a big difference and the ninja has speed also, but the heavy will eventually get a hit (if they aren't a new pvper) and then they will get that momentum going that's hard to get away from. So I was thinking, maybe for the sake of the lower armored classes the heavy should have an iron or stone sword? this would allow the class to get in at least one more hit on the heavy, which could help their team in a matter of a couple seconds.

    There's a class counter system. Every class shouldn't have an equal chance of killing a heavy.

    All the range classes should be able to kill heavy if they are good at the class, but heavy is supposed to take damage not exactly dish it out, its mostly supposed to be paired with a medic and a strong class but weak armor. It shouldn't deal close to as much damage as the ninja

    Honestly, heavy SHOULD NOT BE NERFED. we DO NOT need more nerfs. if there are too many nerfs, then ctf will purely be based off pvp making new players with other strategies unable to play.

    I wasn't a founder, but I played back then. Heavy was the basic class that you would use when you started while you were training some of the other classes. From the definition of heavy (pretty much meaning tank, damage taker) it is supposed to be in the front of the group taking the hits for it's team which is obvious, its the only class with full diamond armor. Dwarf has nearly as much armor and a much more powerful sword, but it has to stay crouched and barely move, so they made dwarf a much less good class so that it would be even, but the heavy isn't supposed to be like this. Its supposed to run with it's teammates and get them closer because people will be focused on them or the medic. Its really just a complicated way of saying it has the armor, it doesn't need the firepower as much because it should stick with it's teammates to help them. It is a team game after all

    You do kind of have a point, but it is hard to avoid heavies since they are so popular these days seeming. I'm saying this for the sake of mostly ninjas because its hard to kill even a soldier unless they have no idea what to do.

    Dwarf and good class should never been in the same sentence. Most people use heavy to either cap against a massive defence (where armour comes in) but there are some who defend with it. I remember @kevshadowslayer @BrandinoB some of the people who used to do this. Making the sword worse isnt really needed compared to other changes

    First of all, dwarf can be good if they rotate the spot they are in. And second of all, I agree heavy can be used for defense, but it should mainly be used for body blocking the flag and knocking back enemies. But the point of the post is that it is a bit too difficult for some classes to kill the heavy because of the fact it doesn't take many hits for the heavy to kill them.

    Mmmmmmkkkk I don't think you really understand the thing about heavy. Or many of the classes in general. Everything has tradeoffs. Archer has an OP ranged shot, but is weak in close quarters combat with weak armor and sword. Medic has regen, the ability to heal teammates, and webs, but also has weak armor and swords. Even dwarf, with it's OP as hell sword has the tradeoff of slowness and no running.

    Heavy doesn't have any abilities at all. It is pure pvp. A decent pyro will kill a decent heavy 8 or 9/10 times, most likely. Its tradeoff is having high armor and high damage. It has to do with abilities. What can the class do, what is so special about it? And heavy has nothing special. So therefore it gets the high armor and good sword. Heavy is supposed to be more difficult to kill. It's called "Heavy" for a reason. However, a classes abilities, such as medic utilizing the webs and regen, archer with Punch I, soldier using it's climbing ability etc, heavies can still be taken out or evaded.

    It's all about the abilities. Heavy has none. Take away its damage output and you have a virtually useless class that isn't fun to use, because all it's good at is taking hits. What good is knocking a person back from the flag if you can't kill them in time? They'll get the flag eventually, whether you miss or they use an ability, or whatever.

    The fact that ninja is a useless piece of **** shouldn't be used as a reason to ruin other classes.

    I guess you are right, it can be used by its self or in a team and work efficiently. I'm on the side of keeping it the same now. Like how ninja and mage are mainly abilities, but they have low armor.

    Every class can kill a ninja in roughly 3 hits. Ninja is a stealth class, you're not supposed to be running around fighting heavies anyway. As a ninja, the role is recovery, not capping. If a ninja gets killed by a defensive heavy, the heavy is doing its' job, the ninja is not.

    Heavy is a pretty standard basic class, which doesn't need a nerf because there is nothing special about a heavy except for it's diamond armor and sword which isn't over powered to begin with.
