Medic Teaming suggestion

    The Player who is in combat or medic cannot be healed until 5 seconds of consecutive damage has passed.
    If the player takes damage the medic cannot heal them after the 5 seconds have passed

    Thoughts/tweaking?

    People have suggested this in the past, and typical of staff, they didn't do anything.

    Oh, be prepared for this to be moved to the server ideas section. Where no one really looks. Because virtually nothing that gets said there actually gets implemented. Hell, I don't even know if staff looks there! They sure as hell don't give feedback 90% of the time.

    Also, to stop the classic medic teaming (medic + medic healing each other, which is still an issue IMO), make it so medics can't heal other medics. Yes, this means flag camping will be a lot harder, but medic is not meant to be a capping class.

    I posted a similar post about fixing medic healing. Got some feadback, looked pretty good, and then it died :L

    My thoughts: I dont know how well it would work, it does seem like it would really hurt medics support ability. What I think needs to be done about healing is not nerf when you can heal, but instead how fast you heal. Right now healing is regen 5, which is op if it is used in a fight. I would suggest making it regen 3 or something. This would eliminate the problem of medic teaming as a whole (and at the same time makes stalemates less likely to happen), but keep the support aspect of medic their. This means you can heal whenever (except 15 sec cooldown ofc), but slower.

    As I see it, the well deserved 15 second delay on medic heals as well as the 1 hit delay on item restoration enough. This sort of change needlessly limits medic's healing capabilities.

    Voodoo tweaks like this won't make CTF Great Again. You cannot stick little pins in each class, weaken their abilities, and then expect the game to magically become better.

    At this rate all the classes will be necrofied. The final nail in ctfs coffin will be when assassins or archers instakill is nerfed, if ctf lasts that long anyways. I say that classes should be buffed instead of making a class more useless. Soldiers being countered by pyros was heavily effected due to the 3+ nerfs that happened to pyro while soldier got a nerf that only effects wall spammers, ninjas can still ghost cap, I can make a whole topic thread of this if i wanted to.

    This is exactly what I had in mind for a medic tweak. A slower health regeneration while granting the same hearts as it would before.

    I feel like this should be implemented for every class getting healed by medic. Arent medic and soldier or medic and heavy or medic and chemist harder to recover off of than 2 medics.

    Maybe let medic continue giving regen (still w/ a cool-down) but nerf it down a lot...like have it regen level 1-3, because a medic should still be able to give a bit of mid-combat support (kinda like a chemist's regen). But in order to restore items, I think this would be perfect – items cannot be restored until 5 seconds of consecutive damage has passed.

    Would a ninja egg count as "damage"? (i think it should x3)

    It's not just medic teaming, but it's medic healing in general... It's very op and should be slightly nerfed, imo. Because medic makes non-instakill recov nearly impossible, and that shouldn't be the case.

    I quite like this idea, but I have to say (being a Heavy main) that Medic teams aren't all that hard to kill. Just repeatedly attack one, and try to push it away from the other Medic. I'm guessing that's just 'cause I'm Heavy, though. I do like the idea, though, because Medic teams are very annoying. Especially Medic teams of 3 or more people.

    I'd have to vote that Medic and Heavy teams are a lot harder to kill then 2 Medics. The high damage output of Heavy, plus the repeated regifting of steak by the Medic makes it a very deadly combo.
