Idea Medic Opportunities

    I'm not the first one to bring this up, but medic has become a severely underwhelming class to choose from with the introduction of the credit system. Medic has weak armor and can be a hassle to gain kills with from a defensive standpoint, so credits will not come easy in choosing it. Many will opt for different classes to earn credits which leaves Medics desired for on the battlefield. Medic can be a great option for flag holding and capping due to its restorative abilities, but what about the other less offensive side of it? There's nothing to gain (aside from praise, but who needs that :stuck_out_tongue:) from a medic that plays defense and serves to heal. Sure, your healing capabilities advantage your teammates, but what about yourself?

    Again, not the first to do so, but I propose a way for medics to earn credits in their own unique manner; simply by healing their teammates. Now this would be a tricky system to implement as it instantly comes off as farmable. Yes, it can be, but credits are already farmed enough ( archers spawn killing, coordinated flag-stealing and capping, etc. ) but hear me out. The credits earned by a medic can be meager but enough so that the interest to play it can be reinstalled in players. Here's how I think it should work:

    1 heal: .1-.5 credit yield
    *Cooldown: Medics can only gain credits within a set time of ten seconds, triggered by the first healing strike. In these ten seconds, medics can heal up to three surrounding teammates (for credits ofc) and after those ten seconds, a cooldown of 1-2 minutes shall proceed. Medic can of course still heal afterwards, but not gain credits during the cooldown.
    Restoring items: 1 credit yield
    *Cooldown: Same as above, but with 3-4 minute cooldown

    With this implementation, more people will want to play as medic which can only mean good things for your team! Thanks for reading this far, feel free to make your own suggestions/modifications to this system :smile:

    I would like to see a way for medics to get credits and this seems like a good way, however I'm unsure on how this would go in game and if people will find some way to abuse it or not.
    I would also like to know if the credits are for a full heal or just the regeneration?

    I think that their should be a large reward/simpler way, on average there's 5 people defending in the flag, every 30 seconds a good archer can get a kill, maybe every minute, I think every time a medic heals someone they should get 0.1 credits for restoring hearts and 0.2 for restoring items, at the end of the game the credits get rounded up or down. No cooldown or anything on healing for credits though, too complicated.

    First off, medic was never intended for pvp. It's a support class with some abilities like regen that basically make up for armor loss. Second I like the sound of the idea, but I think the 3-4 minute cool down is a little too long. If a map lasts 20 minutes, that is equal to 5 item restorations meaning 5 credits overall. Imo you can kill more people faster with medic than using this idea.
