Intro I can't join mc-war

    When i attempt to join mc-war i get this message "Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderExeption: java.IOException: Packet 0/72 (ie) was larger than I expected, found 373 bytes extra whilst reading packet 72"

    How long has this been happening for? I've had this issue multiple times with other servers, and its happened to people on realms too. Usually it fixes itself after an hour or so.

    Anyways, welcome to the forums.

    Hmm, I'm no expert. Have you tried direct connecting? Or are you using your compass/portal?

    This seems to be happening a lot to people recently :S
    I have you tried one of the following
    -direct connect
    -go from the lobby
    -go from another server like build or ctf
    -get of minecraft and restarting
    -restart your computer
    That's really all i can think of

    Are you launching your game from 1.8? that may be the cause.

    I got it to work i switched to 1.9 i did not know is was not compatible with 1.10. thank you for your help

    Welcome to Forums I guess :stuck_out_tongue:
    You are in 1.9 right now, I recommend you go down to 1.8 to reduce lag as it is compatible with 1.8, and 1.9 is slower, and a bit pointless to have.

    Have you updated Java?

    Can you clear out your internet memory cache > Tools > Options and delete Offline content ?
