They do. Saying they don't is just "ctf elitism" @LordCh4os. It is ofc hard to know the playing style of an player, but shouldn't it be visible in the stats when someone plays the game in an effective way?

I am oroginally a mcctf player. But i got banned a long time ago and wasn't unbanned before mcpvp became a part of brawl.

Making a 74ks in a 20min game without dying isnt easy.

I could go on an alt with absolutely no playing time, not stats or anything. I'd still be better than a good chunk of ppl in reg games and I'm ass at this shat gamemode

Thats definitly the way i meant you should measure stats. It is like saying that the usa has more debt compared to national income than greece because the usa have more debt. It sounds like an silly example because of the fact that my point should be so obvious. But it apparently isn't for everyone....

 

I can't believe I'm going to have to explain this again.
Stats don't matter because:
-Most people don't even tryhard, their stats could be twice as good as what they show but aren't simply because they're derping around in game.
-You can have a lot of one stat but the time per stat point could still be terrible. Does that make you good?
-It's stupidly easy to farm, especially kills. Hey let's all go archer stand 1 block outside of spawn and spam arrows with a medic. Real easy killstreak, (kills and kdr for that matter too).
- yes let's all talk about CTF kills, oh wait I just realised the name of the game is CAPTURE THE FLAG
-let's be real here, you're talking about numbers you achieved on a children's block game. I get you're good at the game, but it's still a children's block game, it's not worth getting that excited over
- it matters the people you fight against in a game. Yes you got a 40 streak, but were those people actually good or have a great influence on the game? 1 kill can be worth more than 10 if that person is a flag bearer
- there are veteran players who don't play very often and so have bad stats. With that said they're still better than some of the new supposedly "more experienced" players even though they have higher stats

On a side note, it's utter rubbish calling the lack of caring about stats CTF elitism. If anything people caring about stats would actually promote it. This is because it would give a particular scale to distinguish between who's good at the game and who's not (if we chose to base it on stats). That mean there would be more of a way to distinguish. Not caring about stats means there's less of a way to distinguish and therebye less of a way for the better players to create an elitist culture excluding those weaker than them. I wouldn't talk about something you don't understand.

There are many other different reasons I could probably go into about this. I suggest you don't take stats seriously because of all the reasons I've just gone into.

Good game, I'd try focusing more on firing recovery shots and supporting the flag carrier though, you'd be a lot more useful

 

I am not sure wether i understood right.. i have repeadetly told you that i think that stats/time is a better way to measure skill than stats. This was one of my core points in our conv.

most people don't tryhard so their stats / time aren't accurate either, literally first reason I put down. Your point is irrelevant because even if it is better it's still bad.

 

I wouldn't make that first point if i were you lord_chaos. I didn't know you have a medic constantly healing you, because if you have, plz tell meh how to get one.

On the 2nd point, when did i say that kills are all that matter? I haven't talked a lot abut that capturing part since archer isnt the best capturing class around.

I have to admit that I shouldn't have talked about this here. You clearly do not remember our conv very well, so take a look at it if you want to discuss this further. I do not see any need to do it

I think i have never said its accurate. There's always some exceptions. But the trend will however be that better players (more efficient players) have better stats. I do still believe that stats are a better way to measure skill than just playing and basing the opinion on gameplay.
