Weekly Events

I'm not "moaning'", because I know that Wario is trying his hardest to accommodate everyone. Also, I am going to be working at the time of the next event, so really I am at as much of a loss as you are. So, before you start complaining please think about how much work that our staff put into this. They are trying to fit these events into their lives and schedules so we can have more fun. They don't need people harassing them when they are doing the best they can.

You would be surprised to find out that players from EU/SEA/Australia make up quite a bit of the playerbase.

 

Not really, I play with plenty of non american players, but they don't make up over 40% of the player base.

And I'm pretty sure EU/AU do not make up 40% of the people who play WarZ every day. I'd put it more at 25% but I agree the events should be spread out amongst timezones. But the best way to do that is to have an EU mod again, so apply, Europeans!

 

Can't speak for SEA/Straya, but Europeans are usually fine at like 1 PM GMT (roughly 9AM or earlier in Murica), during this time it's evening for Aussies or close to that, but take this with a gain of salt.

 

2pmEST would be good even though I don't play warz. (7 for English people, 8 for EU.

I used to play a kitpvp server and they had a load of events, I think some of those events could be changed so they involve guns perhaps.

Brackets:
Say there are 16 players participating, each player gets put in a 1v1, if they win they get put in the next round if they lose they are out. Keeps going until there is a winner.

Red rover:
There are 1-3 players in the grove in a map. The other players must get from one side of the map to the other, map should be around 40by60, there could be cover. The players in the groove (trench) cannot get out so they must shoot the players when they run across.

Capture the flag.
Everyone gets split in to 2 teams, the players must then try to capture the flag with their stuff, the team that gets the first capture wins. When you die you are out in jail for 5 seconds but you can respawn with your stuff after. Map should be around 70by150

Zombies:
Different wave of zombies spawn, they are buffed with speed, armour and weapons. The last player alive wins.

 

I've been on several times.

Almost all American people are still in work @Cuddled or school, which makes it necessary to have an EU admin on unless it is on a weekend.

 

OK so I think roughly EU is 8 hours ahead of Murica and AU is 8 hours behind, approximately.

I think it's best if we stick to weekends when possible, because it's a nightmare factoring in school. So with regards to weekends I think it's best you alternate between a timezone that works for Americans and EU and a timezone that works for Americans and AU. So for AU, I reckon it's best you do it around 8-11 PM EST. That's late morning/early afternoon for Australians, New Zealanders and also early morning for Koreans/Japanese which could work better for more people.

As for EU I can't really say, and Credo's suggestion seems a bit early for Americans.

What you could do for us @Wario, is find out what the peak hours are for WarZ, and we can use that information to better decide when to hold events. But generally I think it's better you do it in the evenings for AU or mornings for EU.

Try not to do anymore events at 7 PM on a weekday please, Europeans will be asleep and Australians/Pacific will be at school xD.

 

AU is always 12 hours ahead of me where I am.

This might not work as well, but why not put out a survey for what timezone WarZ players are in, then hold an event that would best fit the majority?
