tl;dr - That is the system that we already had, and it wasn't working. This new system will be more effective.

What if all staff members mutes you as a joke and you get 40 mutes, do you get banned?

These'd count as false punishments, so they wouldn't.

Glad this is coming into force, and hopefully it'll stop some of the notorious smaller trolls around.

I'm glad for this rule because it will quite easy to get rid of a special someone. @Sn4x5 since they are quite a trouble maker.

Yinskape basically counts all the legit mutes and bans and decides wether they will be banned or not.

40 punishments. A joke mute would not qualify as a punishment I would think.

They won't get bannet unless they mess up :stuck_out_tongue:

Just a late response to this, but it could be that some of your punishments are chat reports. This means that you should probably follow the rules, even if staff members are not online, because you could be randomly muted later.

Like I said, I didn't know I was breaking a rule. I try to follow them regardless of whether staff is online

It sucks though, because people can assume I told someone to kill themselves, because of the mute for death wishes, when really in TDM I said "DIE THEO." It would be cool of there was a way to redeem yourself to get you history cleared. I don't want to look like one of those people that get angry and accuse hacks and then tell the person to kill themselves and then spam more hackusations.

I kind of agree with this. Brawl Mods are far too anal. I'm significantly less toxic than many people here, and I certainly don't have disdain for the server, yet I'm punished constantly on Teamspeak because people get triggered by me.

This is dumb. Most players who have this already don't need to be banned. That is changing your mind on rules that they once were aware of. Allow them to get a certain amount of warnings after that 40 if they have it already.

They get one more chance after this goes into effect after the 20th.

This type of mindset that is okay with people breaking rules over and over again with no regret nor change in behavioral pattern is why this needs to be implemented.

I'm sorry you feel that the change is dumb. Much like real life, there are consequences for actions and behaviors. The previous consequences proved to be ineffective, so they have been changed. If a player is toxic and hurting lots of people I'm pretty sure they were hurting the community more than helping.

Good behavior isn't always rewarded, but there are so many genuinely good people in this community. They don't have to read or reply to this thread because it's not applicable to them, and they tend to do the right thing 99% of the time. If anything, the good people on this server deserve a break from the barrage of negativity coming from problematic players. They deserve at least that much.

One thing I do not understand about this rule: Why are players still able to purchase an unban after this? I personally feel that players should be permanently banned that get banned for this reason. Is it a business stand-point? Do we want players purchasing unbans/do we need money THAT badly?

They have 10 more chances after they've purchased an unban after they've been banned for their 40+ punishment.
