    It has come to my attention that various known CTF players are getting banned, simply for something that THEY SHOULDNT be banned for. Like today 2 RR members got banned for doing 180 head flips. I haven't seen one mod, or admin actually type /FREEZE or /SS to question the one being accused of hacking. This is very annoying, and makes the game less fun knowing that you could simply be glitched, and then get banned. There should be a system where mods have to follow a protocol before banning a person. Even if the mod/admin do have "Video evidence", maybe they should check in before banning someone. Unless they're flying or have hacks thats are actually obvious.

    it's not the first, it certainly won't be the last, and it's what the appeal system is for. I think it's flawed and it needs work. It's also something I'll probably write something on at some point. Some of brawl's systems do need to be "fine tuned" so to speak

    As far as I know, there's nothing glitchy about your head turning like an owl's. That's called aimbot, and it's a hack.
    There are no such commands as /freeze or /ss. We don't question hackers.

    So if I had my mouse at the highest sensitivity with a high DPI mouse and I move my mouse like lightning I will be banned for "obvious hacked client"?

    If it's just your head turning 180 and not your whole body, then it's aimbot. Btw, what's the names of the two players you mentioned that got banned?

    Of course things aren't as black and white as they may seem. But like @LordCh4os said, that's what appeals are for.

    Its not aimbot , thats forcefield, Aimbot you could be facing once way and then you would still hit all the players around you, Forcefield locks on to various targets at once , I have staffed b4 c: i could tell

    But why take so much time appealing when a command like /freeze can be put in the game so things can get cleared up ? And maybe the person isn't hacking , that would save both the player and the staff member a lot of time

    But I mean, theres more to just that, Is there a way to improve the autobanning system? So it could be more accurate? @Gehenna_Beam

    I guess we could make the dummy invisible, but I've heard that hacked clients won't target invisible entities.
    For now, if someone is autobanned, they can appeal their ban, and it'll be resolved later.

    I am memorably I was perma banned on this account. And No it's not a hacked client to do 180 turns and I'm surprised you don't actually know this considering you are a JMod that you can turn your head 180 without your body moving if you manage to move your mouse fast enough.

    I already knew that, but I don't have to. It's not a JMods primary task to seek out hackers, but only to moderate chat.

    Yes but it is still a staff position that deals with hackers. As you can kick the hackers for up to an hour with evidence of them recorded.

    I already said it's not a JMod's job to deal with hackers. Yes, we can record and ban them for the maximum amount of an hour if we have enough, but when we first apply to be a JMod, we aren't asked any hack related questions.

    Just to point out you aren't even a CTF mod so I do not know why you are getting involved on this at all, and secondly you should still have a knowledge of hackers because of a thing called promotion. If you are promoted to a higher rank you will need to know about hackers. A JMod and trial JMod should both know about these things because there are going to be games in CTF where there are no higher ranked moderators on in which they have to gather the evidence and see whether it is reliable to kick them for the hour until a moderator can view it and ban them.

    The OP caught my attention.
    There's this thing JMods do that can help them get promoted to Mod, but I'm not sure I can tell you about it.
