Article #1 - “The Prophecy” - Featuring MSW Analysts

Predicting MI vs Defy (No confirmed maps at the time).

LordCh4os- 1-3, 2-3 Defy Victory

Vertueux- 1-3, 2-3 Defy Victory

Gamtokage- Going to be an interesting one. MI seems to have an insanely strong offense, and look very nice when they have Ace with them. Although MI looks pretty good right now, Defy still has a strong roster all around. I believe it will be a Defiance win, but I can’t possibly guess the scores for this one. Going to be a good one.


Predicting RR vs BK (Map 1 confirmed Slate for RR pick, next two not confirmed).

Vertueux- RR Win 3-0 3-1

obikenobi21- RR win

Gamtokage- Believe this is going to be an interesting one, I think both team’s offense will be able to outpower their opponents defense, but overall I think it will be a strong RR win.

Trebr- 6-0 RR

Notice​

Please do not ask MSW members for permission to spectate matches. We cannot speak for other reps and their wishes, so please ask both reps BEFORE matches. Referee consent will also be in play at all times if they wish. MSW can issue guest passes to those that wish to help out with things like commentating and related, but these passes are highly limited and will only be handed out to those that will add on to the quality of content covered by MSW. Passes are affected by the blacklist, referee preference, and refs/teams consent.

Team leaders/reps, you can always limit the amount of spectators that are in your matches if you wish. If you are bothered by the amount of spectators coming into your matches, then please feel free to pm your match referee and any concerns to gamren or MSW leaders/representatives. All we ask is that you may be thoughtful and fair if you do request to limit spectator numbers accordingly. Your match referee can also control the amount of spectators allowed.

Match Of The Week #3 - BK vs ADV (2-1, 2-0 BK win) by gamren

BK has currently been stacking up win after win in their onslaught to the top. Backed by new and old members, everyone was scratching their head, wondering how this one would go.


Both teams have gained many achievements under their belts in the past (if you want to credit this new BK team with the olds achievements). BK, known as a top tier team in the past, beating many others like Genetic, The Outcasts, and almost DF in the tourney, they definitely have a lot to prove in their new, returning form, and they have been doing just that. ADV, 4th place spot in the most recent tournament in an intense match, looking very strong against top tier teams like TT. Both of these teams had much to prove going into this match.


Pre-match, BK was having some roster problem.. The match started off a man down, not in BK’s favor. Not much occurred in this match due to BK holstering a heavy defense at the start due to their player disadvantage, but the match fired up shortly after BK evened up the roster. About past 10 minutes in, both team’s offense was having no luck, until coincidently both teams gained the flag, resulting in a standoff. By the end of the standoff though, ADV gained the lead, leading the first map 1-0 in their favor. Around the 5 minute mark, @Misplacement stepped up the BK offensive and got his teams first capture of the game to tie the map 1-1. With little than 2 minutes left, BK gained yet another capture, with the map ending 2-1 in BK’s favor.


Stepping into map 2, it was now ADV’s turn to encounter a roster problem, with members requiring restarts. With the game starting, both teams were very back and forth in the flagroom, with not much occurring until the 15 minute mark, with @SpookyGeek gaining a solid capture for his team. Although ADV stole many times, the BK recovery swiftly handled them over and over. On the side, there were also some slight coordination problems noted by spectators. The map continued on a very recovery based pace, with BK gaining another capture with less than a minute and 24 seconds left. With a 2-0 lead in map 2, BK ended the game in a victory going 4-1 total score. ADV defense and recovery looked insanely strong throughout the game, and their offense definitely gave BK a tough time. Both teams played amazingly well.

Article #2 - RR vs TC (2-1 TC, 3-0 RR, 5-0 RR, total 9-2 RR win) by gamren

Note by gamren: My apologies for the quality of this current article. A lot of our writers have been busy with school, while some are still trying to get the hang of things. Nobody else was available besides myself at the time, and I have a busy schedule to attend to for tomorrow. I tried my best to create an article for the time being, and hope to increase the quality and writer count in the near future. Thank you!.


This game was a surprising 11v11, with both teams offering up the designated amount of players. Immediately jumping into the game, RR almost gained an instant steal rush, almost capturing in under a minute. Sadly for them, the carrier was recovered on while being insanely close to the flagroom. TC impressively gained themselves a capture the next minute, setting the score 1-0 with 18 minutes left. Definitely a nice job their by both sides, with TC coming out on top. With 13 minutes left, TC gained yet another capture, despite being the underdog going into this match. RR immediately switched up the roster, switching @BrandinoB from assassin, into his main class of archer, and subbing in @Memorably (tagging this account since I presume you are more active on it forum-wise). Showing positive results, RR gained a capture, with the map ending 2-1, a surprising and impressive TC victory.

RR immediately reverse swept the next map to their favor 3-0, making the total game score 4-2, with RR in the lead. The final map was blackout, and RR took no prisoners, ending the final map 5-0. The final score was 9-2, but credit should be given to TC for doing so well against what is believed to be the second or third best team in the CTF team scene.
