    Depends what "better" is. Archer is more powerful, Elf is more interesting and fun to play.

    Elf takes skill to become a decent class, Archer takes much less skill to become an infuriating class.
    I hate archer but I admit its definitely more usable than elf

    Archer takes less skill but has a larger impact on the game.
    Elf takes more skill but has a lesser impact on the game.

    All in all it depends on who is playing and how they're playing it. I would say Archer is better than Elf, but Elf is more fun to play.
