How-to combine Resource Packs (1.7+)

    How-to combine Resource Packs (1.7+)​

    Once you add resource packs into your Resource Pack folder follow these steps:

    1. Add resource packs to the "Selected Resource Packs" side by hovering over them and clicking the arrow.
    2. Once you have two (or more) packs added you want to put the "base" of your pack at the bottom of the list; do this by hovering over it and hitting the down arrow.
    3. Boom, you're done!
    My outcome: MC-War items with the Faithful 32x32 texture pack.

    Tips:
    The resource packs on the top will replace the items and blocks in the ones below it.


    This should clean up this section with combination packs.

    Why do they need to be updated?
    Since 1.5 (?) texture packs haven't really needed to be updated. If there is a new block and the texture pack doesn't texture it then it just defaults to a normal block.

    As putty said, the packs don't need to be updated. With this feature, you can use outdated packs and the textures not supported by them will be taken from the default one.

    I'm positive that you can 1.6 packs, but not 1.5.2, since they aren't in the same launcher. But with 1.6 you definitely can, but if you can't I have no idea why.
