Higher Staff Roles

    Both of our jobs are to manage the overall network and staff structure. As owners we dish out work for new projects, sort out funding for any future work and are the primary contact to Putty.

    Chickenputty
    Putty works around handling server management. This means he is here to help with server issues. His job mainly entails dealing with plugins & server files, as well as managing the coders.

    Yinscape
    Yin’s job is solely based around the Network Administration of the Brawl servers. He is here to ensure Brawl’s servers are running at all times and manages backend issues. Do not go to YinScape regarding in-game issues, such as bans.


    The Administrators and Senior Moderators hold specific roles with a set of responsibilities. The roles and their holders, as well as the substitutes in case the holder is unavailable, are listed below.

    • Staff Manager: Phobia

    • Ban & Appeals Manager: Squidward, Sub: Scapezar
    • Permban & IP Manager: Havai, Sub: Ritzy
    • Build Team Manager: Rhos, Sub: xxMineSheepxx
    • Protocol & Documentation Manager: Atum, Sub: Ritzy
    • Event Manager: Miskey, Sub: Industrious
    • Marketing Team Manager: wintergreen3
    • Staff Exam Manager: scapezar, Sub: SoCool21
    • Purchase Issue Manager: Redslime Sub: Ritzy/xxMineSheepxx
    • Brawl News Manager: Charlie_0014
    • WarZ Server Manager: NMHBICEPS & Squidward
    • Party Server Manager: Ryguy & redslime
    • Build Server Manager: Rhos
    • CTF Server Manager: Swit2427 Sub: Yamiiiii
    • Raid Server Manager: Carnotauros
    • Skyblock Server Manager: Phobia & Collector
    All higher staff members have the following responsibilities:
    • Perform IP checks and permbans when requested
    • Answer general questions from staff and community members
    • Handle appeals regarding your own bans and permbans

    Role responsibilities

    Staff Manager
    • Check staff applications regularly and decide whether they should be accepted or denied within less than 30 days.
    • Respond to reports of staff misbehaviour and punish or warn staff members accordingly.
    • Demote staff members fully or to a lower rank if they freqeuently misbehave or abuse their rank.

    Forum Manager

    • Resolve forum reports within less than 3 days and give out punishments and warnings according to the rule violations
    • Give final warnings to users with more than 15 total warnings points and ban them if needed.
    • Frequently monitor all forums sections and profiles.
    • Monitor the moderator actions of other staff members to ensure they are correctly enforcing the rules.

    Bans & Appeals Manager

    • Ensure that all reports are resolved within less than 24 hours and all appeals within less than 3 days by staff members.
    • Monitor how staff members resolve reports and appeals and ensure they are doing so correctly
    • Answer questions regarding the correct handling of reports and appeals

    Permban & IP Manager

    • Perform the IP checks requested by other staff members and issue permbans accordingly
    • Handle requests for permbans
    • Monitor appeals for permbans along with the Bans & Appeals Manager.

    Build Team Manager

    • Review, deny and accept applications for the Build Team
    • Overview the activity and behaviour of all Build Team members and warn or demote them when needed
    • Split the projects of the Build Team into tasks, assign them to Builders and ensure the projects are getting done correctly and in time

    Protocol Manager

    • Create and update the staff protocols for the servers, Discord and forums
    • Clarify parts of the protocol when needed

    Documentation Manager

    • Ensure all documentation (public and staff-only) is up to date, e.g. handbooks, rules, guides.
    • Write additional documentation where necessary

    Event Manager

    • Ensure frequent events are happening distributed equally among the servers and at appropriate times
    • Cooperate with the Server Managers to plan events, announce them and run them
    • Forward the planned prizes to the Purchase Issue Manager for them to be approved and inform them about the winners

    Marketing Team Manager

    • Ensure that the Media Team is frequently working on a variety of videos to be uploaded to the official Brawl YouTube channel
    • Communicate with the Event and Server Managers to prepare trailers and videos
    • Create all tweets on the official Brawl Games Twitter accounts, including announcements, entertaining tweets and requested tweets
    • Create Facebook posts about important announcements and good tweets on the official Brawl Facebook account
    • Create and update Planet Minecraft pages about Brawl, its servers and maps

    Staff Exam Manager

    • Create a hack quiz/staff exam every 2 months together with the other higher staff members
    • Judge the exam when all staff members took it
    • Make suggestions to the Staff Manager regarding who should be promoted

    Purchase Issue Manager

    • Handle all submitted purchase issues within 24 hours whenever possible and 3 days at most
    • Approve and give out event prizes

    Brawl News Manager
    • Coordinate the activities of the staff members helping with the Brawl News
    • Approve the picks for the Brawl News articles
    • Post the Brawl News on the 1st of each month
    • Forward the Brawl News Winner to the Purchase Issue Manager

    Server Managers
    • Review suggestions and ideas submitted on the forums and by staff members
    • Plan updates and changes for the server
    • Review bug reports submitted for the server and forward them to developers to be fixed
    • Supervise the staff members on your server, warn them for minor staff protocol violations and report major violations to the Staff Manager
    • Oversee their gamemode's section on the Wiki, making sure it is updated with relevant information every time the gamemode is updated
