Inside Head Quarters of XCOM lies our fellow staff team & soldiers, Piky continues his documented work and eating the odd doughnut. Odd taste but still delicious nonetheless!
Glock and Nathan are working out in the gym room with rather catchy gym music.
Lousie & Feather are talking about hair styles, though in small talk.

Calvin Turner decides to drink & hit up on the local females that work in the bar. They're not amused by the slightest by his drunkenness.
Calvin: Aye cuties *hiccup* want to dance?
Bar Lady: Are you a little too boozed out of your mind?
Calvin: What makes you say th-" Thud

He's dragged back to his cabin room by Nathan. Piky zooms to peek around the corner, his hair flops as he wonders the hell happened to him. Calvin has a small smile on his face with a little drool.

Nathan: Com'n buddy, you had one too many 'Happy Hours'..​

1900 | 7:00 PM

Central Bradford calls everyone to the main Head Quarters area of XCOM. He shows the Hologlobe, a fancy globe of the Earth projected in a large hologram.

Bradford: This hologram will show us information gathered by our Satellites. Our Satellites are outfitted with some of the highest Earth military technology. Specially designed to detect difficult aircraft that cannot be detected by normal scanners. However we only have one hovered over the USA, other countries would eagerly want our assistance. Though the question remains; how will we get enough to obtain enough to help other countries...

They end up meeting someone at the party. Chief Engineer Shen. Quite old but sure loves to fabricate things.

Shen: I am Chief Engineer Shen. It's a pleasure to meet you, Commander.
Piky: Indeed a pleasure to meet you as well Shen.

Everyone goes to bed at 2200 | 10:00 PM. The late night shift workers are in place for HQ.​

Signals go blaring as the Satellites detect a UFO in contact moving inbound to Canada from Gulf of Mexico at approximately 260 knots per hour.

An aircraft is sent in towards the UFO, it gradually gets closer until it's in full combat. The current aircraft are general military style aircraft made for anti-aircraft.
Pilot: "Eye on the Eagle."​

Pilot well beyond his sanity for concerning about his life. Why oh why did aliens have to attack Earth during his middle time of life. Bracing for anything, plasma shots almost directly hit his ship. He takes a few well placed shots but takes one in the process. The UFO's main power engine begins to fall apart & braces for impact landing in the mountains of California.

Air fight: Successful
Damage taken: Medium (one hit taken)
Time remaining: 12.5​

Pilot: We have confirmation that the Eagle is down, I repeat the Eagle is down. Firebrand returning to base.

Everyone claps & cheers as their first UFO was a successful kill.
Bradford whom is still in his pajamas awoke to this & prepares.

Bradford: Hmm, get me an infrared signal. That ship is still in relatively good shape.. Some alien hostile targets are still alive. Oh Commander, good to see you. You and your soldiers will be ready to go on your first UFO mission. Pack up & get going to your mission. Goodluck, Commander.

Everyone readies their gear, walks into the Skyranger fashionably fancy. Bradford wonders if they'll ever make it in time with that kind of walk..

Bradford: We're heading towards the downed UFO in California. Be prepared, they will not go down without a fight. Most are injured and or dead so expect a mild battle.

As they land in the area, it's still dark out, sun is rising slowly and fog settles in after an abrupt occurrence. Fire on trees are everywhere as the walks out of their Skyranger.

Lousie takes the high ground, difficult to see with the fire but is going to rely on team communication & awareness. Her sights are increased from Awareness. Detecting some footsteps about 45 yards away.
They detect a strange humming sound from inside the UFO although unable to detect what it is.

Feather gusts through the terrain without interference, she closes in on a group of aliens, 3 Sectoids with a little mechanical unit. Both Glock and Lousie take out the Sectoids with ease as they're open flanked. The robotic unit falls back, knowing it's calling for help & forming a group to locate the people. They call the little adorable robot a Drone.
Piky closes in, Feather gives him the go. Hiding behind a fallen tree to take cover and remain hidden. The foot steps close in but he peeks out his head too early. His shot misses, they fight back.
Piky has been Mind Frayed! He loses some aim & movement and is panicking.

Piky: Not like this! Get me out of this hell hole!

A plasma shot is fired, penetrating the log & hits Piky's lower leg, it stings of unimaginable pain. Sensation of burning flesh sure does a lot to ya.
Glock steadies his aim & fires at the robot unit. It pierces the head & circuity inside rendering it completely destroyed. Nathan chucks a flash-bang. They're completely blinding momentary as Feather flanks from behind and gives them a good ol' scare. Killing them of course.

Yinscape: Dammit Piky, why'd you did that? There there, this'll sti-
Piky: *Uncontrollable yelling and profanity*

He can't help but snicker by his use of profanity. Quite the creative use of words.

No other aliens on the field expect that godforsaken humming object. Quit humming! You're keeping the Squirrel up. Not sure how but damn well sure Squirrels are on top of the UFO.

Upon seeing the UFO they notice it's so well intact and provides ominous and unsettling feelings.
Bradford: It's.. remarkably intact..
Calvin: I loath for the materials made on that ship. The research of the alloys & parts inside is crucial! Watch where you're shooting, don't fire at anything in the general direction of important UFO parts!
Shen: If I were to have a guess. Something large must be or was powering that ship. Avoid shooting it at all costs.

Piky still suffers Mind Fray, he's unable to see properly, his vision decades and his thoughts process into crude but suffer-able conditions. Nathan Drake keeps him company.

Feather gets a little too close and draws aggro of the floating humming object. It transforms into what they call, Outsider.
It runs for cover & begins firing. It's accuracy is impressive. Almost killing Feather but only burns a proportion of her hair.

Glock: Begone!

His shot pierces the crystal heart of said Outsider, exploding violently. Shards fly in every direction but do no serious damage.

Bradford: All hostile targets eliminated. Well done. We'll send out a team to dismantle the UFO.

Once they get back home, they're informed from the Government.
Government: You have done an outstanding job with your first major task at hand. I only hope this is just the beginning of outstanding leadership. We'll be in touch.

Lousie Harely has been promoted to Lance Corporal!
She gains;
Precision Shot: Shots against flanked or open targets will take increased critical damage.

Glock has been promoted to Lance Corporal!
He gains both;
Awareness: You detect movement easier & gains slightly better eyesight.

Goodness that hurt a lot. Doc says I'll be up to go in about a week. Sigh.. Knew I should've waited. My eagerness got the best of me and payed the price. I do gotta thank Nathan for his assistance. My brain still hurts from it being frayed. Gahh the thought of something lurks inside my head now. Strange but subtle voices... Maybe a well good rest should do the trick.

For godsakes Piky.. Don't stick your head out like that again, sheesh. His wound surely was bleeding & boiling. Felt bad for him to endure such pain.

My hair! That was a strange alien though, it glimmered & pulsed of energy. Its humming was in a tune that can only be described as 'Call for help'. Thankfully it's gone and we didn't see any reinforcements..
