Remove Freeday

Isnt this still kind of chaotic? Just imagine where it randomly picks engi, dwarf, assassin, and mage twice. Then the noobs will just be stuck with those classes for two days instead of one!

Oh yeah speaking about the current freeday, it ends at around 3:30pm in Pacific time, so someone who has school really only has about 10 minutes to try the freeday. Fix that maybe?

I've been on both sides of loving free day (before I had all the classes) and now where I don't even bother playing on Friday. I don't think brawl would remove free day, but there could be some time zone changes

Honestly, when I first started CTF and didn't have ****, I liked free day, because it gave me an opportunity to test out classes before I bought/traded credits for them. Granted, Classes were easier to get back then. Recently, I haven't been on during freeday friday because of my work schedule, but last friday I was, and god it was pure cancer.

 

Maybe its shoulds be in Half day of the freeday? its honestly really need to chance, and make it diffrenet

Why not make it that you can use one premium class per day, and activate that class for 3 hours and once finished, you have to wait till the next day for the option to reset?( Not necessarily the same class you chose the day before)
Someone help me improve this?

Dude, I have absolutely NEVER seen you play any CTF. No idea why, maybe you play at a different time. You have only 2300 overall kills, and the last time you were even online was 9 days ago.

Seems to me like you are expressing your opinions on things you have no idea about, since you hardly play CTF, and writing in a funny way as a "memer", to bring people into your posts to make the topic more interesting than it actually is. AKA, your memes are not dank.

Not to mention your creepy fascination with @wintergreen3 , like she is the only girl you have ever seen in a video game.

Or your thread spamming, which is also getting boring and annoying. Although the topics that you post are relevant (for the most part), there are threads that don't make any sense, which I won't even name because I already mentioned it.

To stay on topic, I don't think Freeday should be removed. Many players play only on Fridays, because the game actually can be a lot more fun on that day. Seems a lot more balanced that way . May be chaotic/annoying, but maybe other people's opinions matter more than yours?

 

I'm not sure I like the idea of having only certain classes available every week. It would save us from having to deal with certain classes each week, but there would be a lot more of the others. I don't think anything would be able to save us that fateful day when engi, dwarf and mage are the available 3 classes. The current system isn't perfect, but at least it prevents situations where there are unholy numbers of those classes appearing.

With that said, yeah, the pacific time thing definitely sounds like a problem, so maybe changing the freeday times slightly would be helpful so that those on Pacific time can actually test out those classes after school!

and @Flying_Drone even if he did play less, that doesn't necessarily make him less informed or his ideas any less valid. People who play less tend to be, but it's only a correlation and there are exceptions. Due to that, your point (along with your flame) is irrelevant

 

There have been many threads suggesting exactly the same as you did, removing free day and in compensation of its removal add a class rotation (hell I made one too back in the MCPVP days). IMO it's good that players can try all the classes in one day, and even if there are more players on freeday, it's simply because most of them do not have the time to play on other days, or the rest of the weekend is pretty boring as they have no classes.

Claod explained it above , but i'll talk about it anyway. If mage/engineer/dwarf were coincidentally free in one week, it would be pretty chaotic for an entire week, as it's the engineers and mages that are complained about the most. It's much more sensible to allow them to stay on for one day rather than the whole week/weekend ensue with chaos with 5 engineers and 3 dwarves or more per team.

Besides, the credits system works quite well with Freeday. One day per week to test out a class/classes you might like, and since you'll have all the classes/ the classes you love playing accessible to you on that day, you can earn more credits with ease. If the rotating system were added, it would mean that you would only possibly see your favourite class once every 3 weeks, ultimately making it more difficult to earn credits when you don't have the class you love playing (because evidently, you're going to try harder/play better in a class you like or are good at). Although the class prices are relatively high atm, if they were adjusted/or earning credits was easier, the system would work better with freeday.

And of course, you only have to endure freeday for just 1 day. Look on the bright side of it all though, more players= more populated and intense games, or if you love farming kills free kills day. Again with the engineer/mage/dwarf argument. Imagine logging on during that week and seeing at least 3 dwarves every day in the flagroom. It would be very annoying.

TL;DR if the credits system was adjusted and improved to work better with freeday, then it will be absolutely fine rather than needing to abolish freeday and add rotations, which would not necessarily improve the situation. Right now the idea of it is there, but it needs tweaking and several thinking in order to make it work better.

I'm just going to quickly throw my opinion in here, even though everything has basically been said.

I'm not a huge fan of Freeday due to the lag and constant spam, but I don't think it should be removed. Back in 2012, I didn't own the classes. I loved Freeday because I got to play the classes I didn't have. I don't think it's fair to remove new players' ability to test out the premium classes just because the regular players are annoyed by Freeday. It's one day out of the week, and we can deal with it.

I enjoy freeday because of all the chaos it causes but I think engineer, necro and dwarf should all be premium or have limits atleast.
