Calvin Turner has completed his research on the Sectoid corpse!


~Research~
Name: Roswell

My first time dissecting a somewhat resemblance to a human corpse; felt rather the same feeling strangely enough. All the five Sectoids I've dissected were exactly the same. Perfect genetic copies of one another. Their insides consist of organs similar to species on Earth. Greenish blood. Stench that grows increasingly more potent after some time..
However one I've come to look at one that seems to harbor some strange activity in the cranial nervous system. Dare I say Psionic activity at the time but as Piky, our fellow Commander and Soldier experienced that the hard way. His mind frayed from reality, twisted into events of strange panics.
It seems that the aliens have been trying to genetically manipulate genes of the Sectoid to increase the potential of Psionic chance.

Unfortunately, after confirming the Psionic theory, we don't have the proper means of sustaining perfect immunity to the negative effects. Only time will tell the day till, I'd be damned if my research leads to nothing in this effort.

I've pin-pointed several key weaknesses our soldiers can exploit on the field, gaining a better advantaged.

- Arc Thrower & Interrogation methods (10 Sectoid Corpses)

He decides to research Alien Alloys next in hopes of a new use for the current small abundance we have.

An Abduction Mission as appeared in Canada. Canada requests the immediate help of XCOM.
Small group of hostiles. Approximately four signature targets.

Commander Piky suspects this is a bait by the aliens, for us to send everything while they plan another monstrous attack.

Louise gets up & proceeds to accept the mission. Piky raises an eyebrow & allows it. She readies her gear & takes off with Firebrand to Canada.​

0900 | 9:00 AM​

It's snowing as usual over there. Soft, faint, silence. Alone without anybody.

They've landed safely.

Bradford: Firebrand will be waiting for you. In the mean time, take extreme caution, who knows what could happen.

Louise steps out of the Skyranger, her loose pony tail hair breezes back of chili wind. She wanders the abandoned town. Snowflakes trickle down onto her pale skin, the ghost inside the town to reap evil from the humanity. Her vision detects three Sectoids and a wandering unknown tall alien.
Boom, pierce of two completely annihilate them. She sighs & falls back. Smoke from the barrel gives a slight indication but the Sectoid retreats. The unknown alien closes in. It spits out a toxic gas towards her, rolling out of the way but cornered.

Closing her eyes, humming a soft meadow of notes. The unknown creature gives a hand jester to its fellow Sectoid, closing in behind a dumpster. Sectoid foot movement appears from a corner.
Boom. The body of said Sectoid flies back, twitching ever so slightly upon death.
The tall alien fires towards Louise's direction & melts her Valor; sniper rifle's barrel instantly. Grudging jesters against said alien.
Grabbing her pistol & firing three precise shots against her target. It blows up of gaseous toxins that clouds the area. Golly boy I sure wonder if it's dangerous.

Bradford: Well done Louise, managed to successfully stop the aliens single handily and meet a new one. Our staff & soldiers will be joyful to hear of this.
Calvin: I loathe to see the possibilities of that tall alien.

They land with greetings & clapping, smiling and proceeds to fall asleep in her room. Mumbling about her weapon Valor being destroyed.

0400 | 9:00​

Nothing has happened lately. Everyone is still on high alert for any alien activity but nothing. Almost as if something grand is happening towards the alien's plans.
Aircraft 1# has been successfully repaired!

Piky's thoughts continue to dwell his mental sanity An overworldly voice with encrypted messages.
Nathan provides some assistance for Piky with ice. Gladly thanking him while writing some documents.

On the Geoscape globe, an UFO with a strange signal appears on said globe.
Bradford: You're going to want to take a look at this Commander. It's generating a strange signal, almost as if it's looking for something...

Piky's senses spike and order two of the four aircraft to engage battle with that UFO but to damage it, not down it.
Bradford questions the motive but goes along.

The UFO is moving around at approximately 400 knots per hour, requiring both aircraft's to use a little more juice to catch up.
They both obtain sights on the target.

Pilot Aircrafts: Pew, pew-pew, pew
Strange UFO: Boom-pew, pew pew boom

One the of aircraft is hit and falls back, the other does so as well and head towards base.
It'll be in repair for 7 days

Air fight: Unsuccessful?
Aircraft #2 is heavily damaged, Aircraft #3 is not damaged

Piky: That ship was up to something. Perhaps it was attempting to acquire an air-to-air dog fight to weaken our air strength for a more, fore-coming event. Whatever that may be, prepared for the worst..

My Valor! Damn that.. Thin Man as we're calling it now. Came rather close to dying in battle by that thing but managed to survive. Goodness the alien's are throwing newer and newer opponents to fight. Perhaps more target practice for me.

On the next story: Glock & Nathan Drake will have their spot
