    Hey builders !

If you have missed the part #5 of this series of guides, here's the link: https://www.brawl.com/threads/66361/
So, that's the sixth part of my guide about Modern Style! Today's lesson is about Interior layout!

    What room should I make?
Minecraft houses, modern or not, need mandatory interior equipements to look at least a bit realistic. Living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. Now, modern houses are synonym of money, of pleasure. Unless your house is very small, there's many possibilities to fill the free interior space. I selected you some ideas:
    - games room (pool table, flippers, arcade games, baby-foot, table games),
    - gym,
    - bar,
    - indoor swimming pool,
    - Sports area,
    - home-cinema,
    - music room
    - sofa chilling areas,
and a lot more, try to create your own pleasure rooms!

    Rooms cutting
Important thing to know in modern, you don't need to cut every room with a door like in your house or your apartment. Making open spaces and dividing the rooms with trapdoors, or glass panes adds a fresh feeling to the inside of your house. Examples:

    That's by me! ;D

Second tip about rooms cutting, changing the heigh of the rooms adds dynamism to the layout. One-two blocks are enough!
The red marks are the heigh changes between the swimming pool, the pool table room, the bar and the entrance of the house.

    Stairs & chimney
Your house's staircase can also add a special modern touch to your house. There's a lot of space for imagination for stairs: the shape, the materials, the thickness, the curves, the railing...

Fireplaces are a good touch to add on your house too, it adds a warn effect to your chilling area!
The industrial feeling... this builder is certainly talented.

    A few last tips!
    - Don't forget to use custom heads on your house, espacially if the living space is tiny (shoutout to Leko <3). You have a large choice of heads on MinecraftBuild via /hdb, if you are building in another server I suggest you this website: http://www.minecraft-heads.com/

    - Making your sofas, beds, tables, kitchens, and a few other furnitures (not all of them!) one block high, and very thin can make them look better.

    - Working on a half-block floor can create awesome decoration features!

    - Don't forget about vegetation and water features! It's the subject of the next part...

    Thank you for reading!

The next part will be about natural indoor features, we are nearly done with this series of guides! See you later!

For me, modern building has always been an issue; building the structure's layout? No problem. Trying to make the inside of the build follow together harmoniously, though? Impossible. It's just always been one of those build styles that I could never seem to master. Trying to make a build that looks fresh and new, while also trying to make it complex at the same time was a daunting task to me. I never knew where to begin or where to end. The entire build would just end up one huge mess. Now, when I attempt to do another modern build, I think I'll just take it step-by-step with this tutorial. And maybe if I'm lucky, my build will turn out semi-descent by following your tips.

    Thanks for your words ^.^
To be honest, modern style is one of the most complex building style to master. Taking me as an example, before I started to watch showcases, modern was impossible for me. It takes a long time to learn, just looking at how many times I spammed the guides section... xD

If I would give you an advice for your layout difficulties, take time to make your planning, it's all about organization. When you build a wall, think about how the interior features will match harmoniously behind it. Then, it's all about creativity!

Also, for everybody, don't forget that I'm showing the best houses I can find, which has been built my modern specialists clearly more experienced than me xD (for some of them ;) )

Personally I'm not a fan of the connected texture thingy, if this is what you're talking about. Then windows are nearly invisible, when you are visiting a modern house you spend your time banging your head :/
