    The only really bad gun but cool gun you will rarely see is the FlameThrower. It does get players badly agitated though so you know :3

    Not a good gun btw xd :v

    Ray is only good in infect (for me) because the zombies dont have a gun to shoot me back (prob bc i suck....) :stuck_out_tongue:

    Indeed, that could be an issue. Ray shouldn't be designed as LAW, true. If we think about LAW as an extremely powerful rocket launcher, which one hits and plan to make the Ray different at the same time - we gotta go in a complete opposite direction. Therefore another, second idea: What if we increase/buff Ray's firerate, but nerf its damage? If we do so, we gotta think about the ammo as well, but that's something different. I'm just brainstorming about possible changes, so don't take something too serious.

    It wouldn't really change anything in infect tbh. They get hit once fly back because of the knockback and the ray spam starts.
    How about we go into a completely different direction?
    We make the raygun into the raygun mark 2! This way infect would be balanced and at the same time it would be useful in tdm and ctf.

    They were nerfed back in 2013 already, I don't see why it should be nerfed even more. People are willing to pay for it with real money. The staff won't change much of it anymore.

    If people are willing to pay for it with real money they should deserve what they had expected when purchasing something from the shop and expect minor changes to it, which already had happened.

    It only takes a few seconds to change a gun parameter, even for a beginner at coding.

    If we got rid of ray gun you would have to get rid of aa12 since that just shoots fast with insane knockback. We complain about ray but if it was gone I believe the majority of people would use aa12, not saying everyone but I would switch to it since it is an easy spawn trap and spam gun.

    Yes, you are correct. However I was pointing out that anything more advanced than editing values would be difficult seeing as (1) orange's code is hard to decipher and (2) Brawl only has 2 devs currently, and they're both busy :l

    Any mechanical or functional changes are probably not going to happen before 2.0 is released

    Playing as a zombie against rays is sure to end in rage. It unbalanced infect and needs to be nerfed. People paid for it just like people paid for law. Law today is a lot less of a gun than before. Op guns have to be balanced whether or not people paid for it.

    Then when it gets applied you have to rerun the code which may cause problems.

    The Ray Gun being good encourages people to buy.
    But a small nerf to damage or accuracy would make a LOT of people happy.
