Sheriff handbook and event ideas

There is ways to counter cuffing.

Stay vigilant when is an illegal area / rogue
Get a shot on the sheriff so they have a combat tag and therefore cannot cuff

Cuffs have always been something to fear.

Also, sheriffs get a whole host of insults hurled at them for following the sheriff handbook. We have thick skin and try not to respond. I'm not going to stop cuffing because I get insulted. If there is a change in the handbook then of course I would follow.

 

This one team is a large part of the playerbase. If there is something we can do in order to make them enjoy the gamemode more, we should do it. I think what casp suggested wouldnt make it easier or harder, just less anoying.

Which has nothing to do with wether or not cuffs should be a thing or not (or how they should work).

There is strategies for winning an 1v10 as well. The question is how balanced and anoying cuffs are.

If something is annoying, it should be reworked or removed. Annoying things make ww less enjoyable.

I think everyone would agree, as long as it wouldnt break something else.

Cuffs cant really be prevented, as the sheriff must be combat tagged. Bandits cant prevent sheriffs from cuffing, other than by shooting him. There is no magic trick which makes a player impossible to cuff.

Rebel bases give no shortage of places where you can hide and cuff, jump and cuff or rush and cuff. You may say it is counterable, but seeing as many have even refused to fight certain sheriffs due to their cuffing, It should be clear that cuffs arent countered very well atm. Again, 1v10s can be countered.

Nobody watches all the entrances to a processing hut all the time. Some people just want to chill and have fun. We can not tell them to watch for cuffs 100% of the time. What we can do instead, is to change the gamemode so they can enjoy their time. That's what we are trying to do.

Okay how this is ganna go is,
there will be a few sheriffs. Everyone is given a piece of wild grass. They have like 5 minutes to find a good hiding place inside of wild grass base. After the 3 minutes is up they have to try and survive against the sheriffs for 7 minutes. The sheriffs cannot shoot or hit, they can use cuffs and a lasso though. They can use horses but they have to call it from the stable manager. If you survive for the whole 7 minutes then you get 10k and if a sheriff died to fall damage or something you can keep their head. There will be 10 rounds. That's a whole hour and 40 minute event. I think that's enough time in my opinion :V Also, you can run around and not hide if you want. You don't have to stay still. It's like a hide and go seek tag thing. You can kill the sheriffs horse if they have one.

Edit: Oh yeah I forgot to say that sheriffs inspect and ticket. If we could get someone to put barrier blocks around the rebel base or something then that would be kewl. Cheating is not permitted, for example running out of the base, hitting the sheriff, throwing out the wild grass, paying off bounty, calling horse, lasso'ing a sheriff to kill them, hiding in illegal spots (in chests, anvils, etc.).

 

Seems pretty op bandit-side. I am sure everyone will team up and outnumber sheriffs and repeat as they can not reach them and cuff them.

Typically the weekend is most active, during the day. Especially for the people who have to work during the week and at nights :V
