    So I was thinking of events that teams could partake in, besides tournaments like the msw invitational. For this idea, each team would send their best archer (14 teams = 14 contestants). The archers would then be broken up into seedings, 1-14 based on their team's record and performance. From there, bracket play would begin, with the 1st seed playing the 14th seed in a best of 5 rounds, headshot competition. (This pattern would continue with the 2nd and 13th seeds, and so on.) Of course, the maps that would be used would put both archers on equal terms, so as to not give one a total advantage over the other. This is an idea open to change, let me know what you think!

    Can you capture the flag? Otherwise, I would stay in spawn and snipe jump from there.

    This idea has potential, but I see some major flaws with this. First and foremost, is the best archer really the one who can headshot the other archer? There are plenty of good archers that tend to avoid 1v1s because they're not so good at them, but can still clean up against an enemy offense. This would mean they'd rank lowly in this but still may be amazing archers. Secondly, it's very difficult to put any archer on an equal playing field. Only place that I can think of is the blackout roof. Thirdly, I think it should be open to all archers, not just team archers. There are some great archers not on a team at the moment, I think it would be a shame to stop them from playing.

    You guys are both right, limiting it to teams only would be a little unfair to other good archers who just so happen to not be on a team.

    Not to decide best overall archer, rather he/she who excells the most at archer battling. Overall best archer is more than a little hard to determine. Besides, it'd be a for fun thing, although I doubt all egos would be left at the door.

    I don't think this would work out, as said above, some archers are particularly good in 1v1 and I seriously doubt setting up 1v1s between "ctfs best" would actually decide who the best archer is. +1 for creative mind, -1 for the idea.

    Thanks for the response! But it wasn't meant to be taken as "deciding who the best is". For this idea, I merely wanted a simple event that was fun. I believe I mentioned this in earlier comments

    Apologies, haven't read that. I'd be down to play it buuuut I don't think you can actually make a fair setup, which is something chaos mentioned?

    Regarding the fair setup, it could be played on the blackout roof, or a custom map specifically for said event. That's the only two ways I could see that happening. While I'm typing I might as well touch on the team concept. The reasoning why I initially included the team portion of this was to help with organization, and seedings for the tournament. After consideration, it'd be more fun to open up this event to all who want to partake, not just a single representative from each team.

    2. Castle (I? The one with the Dutch-level flat fields)
    3 Skyworlds
    4 Waterfall
    5 Air Balloons

    I don't think the fact that this tourney doesn't measure true skill is really an issue. 1v1s in Basketball don't measure a player's ability overall, but they're still fun. I think this is a really fun idea.
