What's Hg to brawl now ?

The thing is. Once you lose the player base, it's gone for ever unless you advertise the **** out of it. With the state of the minecraft pvp community, most of them won't want to come back to a child friendly server when they play in an extremely competitive environment such as HCF. You'd save time and money by removing it since munchy mc seems to have a great grip on the gamemode from what I've been told.

 

That's actually a good point, the extremely competitive HG community didn't mesh well with the existing brawl community/gamemodes at all.

 

I miss playing Hunger games during McPvP, and if anything, I thank brawl for keeping it going regardless how they changed it. If people left because they hate change, they would have left anyway at some point. All I can say is, we have to be patient and maybe if some of the remaining community got together and figured out how to get hg having more players on it at a time, it could bring a handful more players into it?

Also, with other communities, why don't we see if we can get the CTF Teams to battle it out over here once in a while. Would be funny and if you talked to them about it, they could be in it for a game or two. Would bring back those memories

 

I think reviving HG is pointless, as mentioned before the player bases of that gamemode is very different to the existing one. Also HG exists on many servers already and it would be kinda unoriginal if it was revived even if it does have a little twist. Brawl should just focus on making new gamemodes and increasing their player bases with like minded people

 

I believe Brawl should focus more on advertisement and improving the existing gamemodes before new gamemodes are added or we'll have another battleroyale scenario. BR is a pretty good gamemode, but the main reason it failed was lack of proper advertisement and a large playerbase.

But brawl HG is the original HG as it is essentially is mcpvp HG.

To begin with it was a huge failz only recently has it been getting anywhere near those numbers.

exactly, it wasn't released with any advertisement and it had on average 5 ppl, but now there's some advertisement (keep in mind, not by brawl but by other people) it's getting people. The other gamemodes are not receiving the same treatment as br is right now.

Basically - HG on Brawl needs a hell of a lot of work to be succesful again. HOWEVER - what I am still against is this no-soup thing since we saw what happened to NoSoup on here once and on MCPVP twice.
I did make a lot of threads regarding the involving of newer players - however, HG has no Dev at the moment, and I'd wager that we will be waiting for at least another year.
I'm also not really able to invest time into HG on Brawl anymore. I have other responsibilities, both in MC and elsewhere, and since I don't play 1.8 anymore (I LOATHE 1.8. It's just as bad as 1.9 and above), I'm not here to test stuff. But who knows, maybe I'll show up from time to time.

 

Frankly, I don't know how successful soup would be on brawl. SimpleHG has basically dominated the SoupHG department, and furthermore, a lot of MCPVP players have a bad perception of brawl. I don't know whether maintaining soup on brawl would be a good decision. It's perfectly fine for events, but for a typical day-to-day game, I think no soup might be more effective.

You know how much I detest no soup HG. For me to make that statement should have some truth in it, i guess :v. Think about it for a while

Or hg is just a dead fad overall and has been for years and it is severely unlikely that it will ever return the way it was. It was already going downhill on McPvP before the transfer, it just reached the bottom of the hill on Brawl. Neither server is really at fault. People's taste change and fads die out.
