Idea Empty map for team matches

Make a map that is empty, but is configured for ctf (have 2 flags, 2 spawns, spawnbox, etc) but only set to have 1 cap and lasts as short as possible.

The point of this "empty map" is to be added after the maps of a match. Meaning if there is a team match that has 3 maps, the mod sets up the three selected maps then adds the empty match twice. This allows the match to go to the third map guaranteed, regardless of ties.

The reason for the addition is so in case of a tie and the teams need to play the third map, the mod doesn't have to pause and add caps at the last second.

This is a simple addition to make matches more smooth and relieve stress on everyone.

How about ppms, unofficials, etc?

This problem has happened many times and it can be very annoying. And even if there is a mod, if they don't do it in time, then it needs to be setup again, which is really annoying.

And ye redslime any map will do, I just thought a map dedicated to do that job will make it easier

 

And waste the last few minutes of the second map? I know it's only a few minutes, but one team can cap in that time (last minute caps happen quite often). Furthermore, your point is that we currently can do something to get by. My suggestion doesn't do anything drastic, but it make matches smoother and faster. Plus the implication of this idea will take like 30 minutes so it's not wasting time either. It's like getting a C in school vs getting an A (in American grading standards). Yes, getting a C is passing, just like using a few minutes to get the right caps, but getting an A is far better, that is setting two extra maps.

 

Agreed, that'll be ideal, and I did think of this. Reason I didn't go with it is cause the op idea doesn't need a coder xd
