Great idea to counter the definite issue what Ritzy brought up. People would for sure use alts to get out of situations. I would personally really like to see something like this added in the future.

 

Just don't see the point in adding something that is unnecessary for the sake of it, I can promise it will change gameplay and people will find a way to abuse it.

 

I think a break from constant worry of being insta-killed by a donator would benefit newer players by reducing the difficulty of the server. For people like you and me (mainly you, rip), a non-PvP zone wouldn't add much because as an experienced player with a rank, our primary goal is to get kills, loot, and elo. So you're right, it is quite unnecessary in the eyes of a ruthless Minecraft guns PvPer such as ourselves. Assuming that there's no way to abuse the border or alts or anything, then why add it? For someone who doesn't know how to combo, for example, they will most likely be glad that there's an area where they have a guaranteed chance of survival.

Regarding abuse and camping, some methods of preventing it have been discussed a bit on this thread, and while they may need to be refined a bit, I think it's worth exerting the effort to prevent abusers so that we have a greater chance of retaining new players

I would love some extra room as alts are running low,however I could see this causing issues as ritzy stated.
