So I've never put together an Intro or an Outro, but here goes.

Long story short, I come from MCPVP, and played Raid and CTF. I'm old, but I also have a deep background in IT, and specifically datasets/SQL/Business Intelligence, as well as Stats. I come here to unwind, and my suggestion to staff is to target older players because they have more money, are less likely to cause trouble, and can contribute more to the community.

So at any rate, I play Raid. There are a few things I can say about it.

First, it is entirely possible to determine X-Rayers from a few simple stats- basically their mining stats. Applying statistics to how many gold, diamond, etc that someone pulls up can pick out- and actually, give you the likelihood- that they are hacking. If you compare their stats to the average, using some stats tests, they stick out like a sore thumb.

Second, X-Rayers have a field day on the server. I would guess that a lot of people are X-Raying based on how bases are raided, etc. I know for a fact there is little or no protection from this; MCPVP experimented with anti-X-Ray, it sorta worked but it also sorta didn't.

And thirdly, as mentioned above I work with data, stats, etc. I had a hunch that if there were no X-Ray protection, and that if all the data coming back to the end user was true, one could find things they weren't supposed to by analyzing the data the server sends them. For instance, when a server sends a chunk as you move, you could look at what it sends you, strip out anything you don't need, and then see what's left. The problem is that something like that doesn't exist, and to make matters worse you are trying to visualize a 3-D problem on a 2-D screen. But, given enough time, it's a nut that might be cracked. There's very few blocks of interest in Raid, and stripping everything out programmatically might yield some results. My feedback to eliminate or avoid this would be to shorten the render distance, disallow intersting blocks (Chests, Droppers, Gold/Dia/Emerald/Iron blocks, etc) to be sent to the client unless you are nearby. Also, updating the version to a later version (1.10 or better?) would be helpful as well, since tools for chunk analysis might rely on other tools to grab chunk information. But again, this is all theoretical.

At any rate, Raid can and should have better chunk control. I rest my case.
