Hardcore Games Halloween Tournament

Hello Brawlers!

We are glad to announce the third edition of the Hardcore Games Halloween Tournament! This tournament will have unique features that will surely spice up your Halloween.

This event will consist of both soup and no-soup HG. The no-soup HG Halloween Tournament will be held a day before the soup tournament, so you will be able to play in both of the tournaments.

There will be special events during the game that will be different from a regular HG game. What events, you may ask. Well, that's for you to find out during the game! Don't worry, rest assured that you will experience these events, no matter where you are.

During this event, you will only be able to use Halloween themed kits, although some of them will be disabled in the no-soup tournament. The kit list is as follows:

Spoiler: Kit Abilities

Spoiler: Assassin (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • Redstone dust
• Abilities:
  • When you update the compass, you'll pick a target. Your compass automatically shows his latest position, so there's no need to update your compass.
  • Keep updating the compass to go through all the alive players in the game, allowing you to pick and choose who you want to track!
  • Use /target to lock onto players.
  • Right click your redstone to get Strength 2 and Speed 1 for 2.5 seconds.

Spoiler: Barbarian

• Starting items:
  • Tyrfing, the level up sword (you start with a wood sword)
• Abilities:
  • Tyrfing increases in durability the more experience points and kills you get, eventually growing out to a better sword.

Spoiler: Beastmaster

• Starting items:
  • 3 wolf eggs
• Abilities:
  • Placing the egg will automatically tame the wolf. The wolves can be very useful when in 1 vs 1 combat, and often gives you that winning edge over your enemy in fights!
    
  • Killing a player will give you an additional wolf egg

Spoiler: Cannibal

• Starting items:
  • Ocelot egg
  • Raw fish
• Abilities:
  • Every time you inflict damage on someone you receive a hunger-bar boost, and they will receive the Hunger effect (same as eating zombie flesh)
  • You start with a raw fish and ocelot egg, use the fish as food or use the fish to tame your ocelot to scare away creepers.

Spoiler: Demoman

• Starting items:
  • 6 Gravel
  • 6 Stone pressure plates
• Abilities:
  • Create a Demoman trap by placing a stone pressure plate on top of a gravel block!
  • When an enemy walks on a Demomans trap, they'll explode instantly!
  • If another Demoman trap is within the explosion radius of another Demoman trap, if one blows up, the other will too

Spoiler: Ghost

• Starting items:
  • A ghost tear (a renamed ghast tear)
• Abilities:
  • Click your ghost tear to leave your body behind.
  • Get Speed II, Jump II and Night Vision while in ghost mode.
  • In ghost mode you are invisible and can fly
    
  • When you are hit in ghost mode, you will return to your body.
  • If your body is killed while you are in ghost mode, you will be killed.

Spoiler: Gravedigger

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • When you kill a player, their items are stored in a chest.

Spoiler: Hades

• Starting items:
  • Iron ingot
• Abilities:
  • Right click a mob to turn them into minions. They will follow you and attack what you attack or what attacks you.

Spoiler: Levitator

• Starting items:
  • A levitation wand
• Abilities:
  • You can pick up blocks by right clicking them, blast them away with left click into the air.

Spoiler: Madman

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • If there are more than 2 people within a 20 block radius around you, they will take more damage the longer you are around them

Spoiler: Monster

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • Mobs don't attack you unless provoked.

Spoiler: Necro

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • All aggressive mobs are killed instantly in one hit

Spoiler: Nightlock

• Starting items:
  • 10 poison soups
  • A book telling you how to craft poison soup
• Abilities:
  • Poison soup recipe: seeds + bowl
  • When a player drinks poison soup, their food level is set to 0, and they get the food poisoning effect for one minute. If a player drinks poison soup while their food level is 0, they will take between half a heart and 5 hearts of damage.

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • Hit a player and then crouch to teleport to them in the past 10 seconds.

Spoiler: Phantom (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • A feather
• Abilities:
  • Right click the feather to get 5 seconds of flight, 60 seconds cooldown after usage.
  • Taking fall damage immediately after the flight time wears off will result in the player taking double the fall damage

Spoiler: Plague

• Starting items:
  • 3 pain killers
• Abilities:
  • Infect people by hitting them, which gives Weakness 1 below 5 hearts and Slowness 1 below 5 food bars.
  • Right click the pain killers to refill your hunger up to 7.5 bars, receive regeneration for double the amount of health you miss, and take away the negative effects

Spoiler: Reaper

• Starting items:
  • An iron hoe
• Abilities:
  • Hit a player with the iron hoe to give them either slowness, weakness, or wither for 10 seconds.

Spoiler: Soulstealer (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • You respawn after death, having 10 seconds to deal damage to a player, then 10 seconds to kill that player, if they die you steal their soul and revive, else you die.

Spoiler: Spectre

• Starting items:
  • An invisibility dust (sugar) which turns to Redstone dust when on cooldown
• Abilities:
  • Right clicking the sugar makes you invisible, taking or giving damage makes you visible again

Spoiler: Spellmaster

• Starting items:
  • A wand of power
• Abilities:
  • Cast a spell with your wand of power that gives a potion effect (Instant Damage 1 or 2, Poison 1 (30 seconds), Poison 2 (10 seconds), Hunger 2 (20 seconds), Weakness 2 (45 seconds), Slow 1 (45 seconds)) to everyone in a 20 block radius

Spoiler: Spirit

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • Turn invisible for the first 7 minutes of game
  • Invincibility when invisible

Spoiler: Summoner

• Starting items:
  • 3 eggs
• Abilities:
  • Throw an egg at a mob and it will drop 2 spawn eggs of that mob.

Spoiler: Timelord (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • A Pocket Watch
• Abilities:
  • Right clicking your pocket watch will freeze the area of 6 blocks around you, freezing other players until you attack them. The spell lasts for 10 seconds and has an additional 20 seconds of cooldown.

Spoiler: Urgal (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • 3 strength + resistance pots that last for 1 minute
• Abilities:
  • Urgal potions are instantly drunk when right clicked

Spoiler: Vampire (disabled on no-soup)

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • Every time you kill a player, all your lost health is replenished and you get regeneration for 3 seconds

Spoiler: Viper

• Starting items:
  • none
• Abilities:
  • Every hit you deal on a player has a 33% chance of giving them Poison.

Spoiler: Vulture

• Starting items:
  • A book that records deaths (Unique)
• Abilities:
  • Right clicking your book will show the last 10 deaths, containing: Time since death, Who died, Death cause, Killer and Death Location.
  • Using /body (player name) will lock your compass onto someone that died
  • Using /bet (player name) before the game starts will make you bet on someone, if they die, you get their drops.

Spoiler: Werewolf

• Starting items:
  • A clock
• Abilities:
  • Speed, Strength, Night Vision 1 at night.

Only teams of 2 will be allowed. If you are caught with a team larger than 2 players, you and your teammates will be kicked by the staff watching the game.

However, the goal of the game is to be the last man standing. If you and your teammate are the remaining two players in the game, you will have to fight for the win.

Respawning is disabled during the game. If you have the VIP rank, you will be unable to respawn in the first 4 minutes. If you have the MVP or ELITE rank, you will be unable to respawn in the first 5 minutes.

To participate, simply log on to the server 15 minutes before the game starts! The player cap will be around 85 players, it may change depending on the server performance.
