    Heyho fellow CTFers!

    Since Elf was tweaked in the E.M.P. update, the wind bow change from slight push to vortex pull effect resulted in mixed reactions. In order to gather some feedback from the community, you can participate in the poll above and/or put your opinions on the elf vortex in the comments below. Do you have ideas on how to tweak, is it fine the way it is, or would you replace it with something completely different? Any feedback or alternative suggestions are appreciated!

    Personally I think that the cooldown of the wind element should be increased as it is fairly op at the moment, would suggest about 5 seconds. Other than that, I think that the wind element is good however I would like to see sharpness 2 possinly returned to the sword or another element buffed (perhaps making the regeneration on the water element faster)?

    I think vortex is okay the way it is although I wouldn’t mind an increase in the area of effect. What I would really like to have come back is the ability for elf to fly with only one arrow left, I feel as though its mobility is restricted because of this since now wind element takes two arrows to shoot as well, so it can run out of arrows pretty quickly and not. be able to escape unless it can get a kill. Maybe add the ability to fly with one arrow again and reduce the number of arrows awarded for a kill to 3 or 4. Also the steak glitch still happens very often.

    Either decrease the cooldown and decrease the vortex area or increase the area and increase the vortex. Right now, I feel the cooldown is annoying.

    When playing with the new elf, the vortex has felt like a broken aspect of the class but that the class as a whole feels balanced, so I think it would be much better to shift some power away from the wind element and on to the rest of the class. Either a buff to the sword or the regen level of the water (as previously suggested), or maybe an easier method to land pure shots if the vortex was less of a viable option (or even a combination of all three) could make it so that the vortex isn't the best option all of the time and there are more situations where the other elements would be more viable.

    Increase the cooldown to 3 seconds. Another idea would be that a direct hit from the wind element would blast the enemy back 3 blocks [like getting hit by a knockback sword.

    WIth elf I feel it's vortex needs two changes out of the above. The first being a longer cool down to allow for players to gain distance before being sucked in, the second to disallow this within the area of the flag post so high damage classes like pyro, heavy, ninja do not just get free hits and kills.

    Another addition possibly to be added, could be slowness when the effect has been used by the elf to itself (Slowness II) to allow for more get away from the elf, and less get away for the elf on offence.

    It's alright, but things like vortex, freeze spell and cobwebs slow down the pace of the game. If you're actively restricting what people can do it's naturally going to make them frustrated (hence why we're seeing a lot of people wanting to increase the cooldown).

    It's not a huge deal really, I think it's fine, just food for thought with future updates.

    Personally I'd try to look for a hard Soldier counter that doesn't mess with other classes.

    Maybe decrease vortex time a little bit. Elf can chain a free pure element shot right after which is annoying but not really game breaking

    Only problem I find with it is that the cooldown is far too low, maybe increase it to 4 seconds? Other than that I think it was well done

    Could vortex also be able to stop soldier wallclimb? At the moment they can just jump out of it which makes the wind counter immobile classes more and soldier less, when soldier needs harder counters. Maybe if the duration of the vortex was decreased then it is less difficult for heavy/chemist and provides another decent counter for soldier, one of which was lost when earth element was removed.

    Well when wind element wasso strong that only ninja can escape via pearls, people complained more.
    But I agree, soldier can literally avoid everything that doesn't have a range ability or mobility that goes upwards or teleports(aka heavy, assa, medic(it can only slow down and its rare to throw a perfect web that stops soldier mid air), necro, dwarf). If used correctly through, which is kinda dumb if you have to run a counter soldier/ninja/elf (when it had earth element and it's very limited aka skyworlds is the only good map to use earthelement) or even mage (rare szenario aka only Austin can do that on a high skill level) to stop a soldier.
