Idea Magic Element for Elf

    Hello everyone reading this thread, for those who do not know me, I am StormNox. I main mage and i was born yesterday.

    As you all know, after elf has been reworked there has been a lot of rage at the wind element, but it is not really that bad because the wind element is just annoying, the elf can get a free pure element in but it is not really op.

    However, i would like to make a suggestion. The only ways an elf can deal damage is with its sword and pure element. The wind element merely gives the elf a free pure element hit or 2, but it nonetheless uses quite a large sum of arrows. I want to propose a way to give the elf another way of dealing damage similar to the earth element's aoe. I call it magic element, the area is the same as earth elements area of effect.

    You can choose whether the magic element gives slowness, poison or wither by left clicking the magic element [symbolised by a spider eye in the hotbar]. There is a cooldown of 8 seconds. It uses 2 arrows per use.

    - It can give Slowness 2 for 5 seconds
    - It can give Poison 2 for 3 seconds [altogether dealing a maximum of 5 half-hearts]
    - It can give Wither 1 for 6 seconds [altogether dealing a maximum of 3 half-hearts]

    Please propose any changes below.

    I like the variety/unique effects, but I feel that elf is already complicated enough as it is, and this only adds more aspects to the class without actually giving it anything new - the damage can be replicated by using the pure element, and there would be little reason to use the slowness instead of locking an enemy in place. Maybe instead of creating a whole new element, the water element could be altered to serve a wider variety of uses and have different options and a way to change them like what you suggested.

    That said, I see elf as pretty balanced coming out of the rework, and there are more pressing issues in terms of the game's balance now.

    Elf is pretty complicated, but the main way the elf deals damage is via pure element. When an elf is attacked by multiple classes, it has barely any chance of survival. I just wanted to give elf more survivability in that situation becuase it will almost definitely die in that scenario. Also wanted to give it a way of dealing damage for those that have terrible aim such as me.

    I think this is a very creative idea! however, as stated above elf is already pretty complicated and If this implemented I believe it could be a bit too overpowering and you would be able to easily combo someone with this effect and then perhaps pure element or simply the sword. Not only that but, classes need to be a little difficult to master in order to have a bit of fun. If it was easy to aim or do something the game would have no challenge. I think it is a great idea and is very well thought out but I don't think elf needs anything else added to it. ^-^
