Idea why ninja needs a nerf

I agree that ninja can cause a problem if it is overused, but I think that would go for any class (archer is a similar example). I'm not sure if it makes sense to nerf a class just because it is popular.

However, I agree that ninja is a tad strong at the moment and I like the idea of making it be able to be hit when invisible (although I prefer a nerf to the eggs). I don't think reducing speed is appropriate as it is a fundamental part of the kit.

 

Just buff other kits instead? Nerfing class after class will lead to a booring game.

Not really a reason to nerf something. "oh a bunch of people are using heavy, better nerf it!"

It's a recovery class... That's what it's supposed to do. You chase someone, to corner/trap them, to recover off them.

The only issue that you could've/should've mentioned is the eggs. That's literally the only real issue with ninja atm

Why should it be nerfed because too many people are using it?

 

Ninja itself alone is annoying and hard to fight enough already, especially with them eggs that blind, gives nausea and slowness.

Imagine having like 5 running around

 

You forget they have no armor; they are killed easily. Just that you are also killed easily too (I relate as I play Chemist, which is a two shot currently). But saying there are too many people playing it is not a good reason for it needing a nerf though is it? It's like saying Heavy should be nerfed because a lot of people play it, but it's fine how it is lol.

 

I am really piss about people saying “They’re easy to kill” because what after you kill them? They come back and even stronger with their restock stuff and kill you. Either way you don’t make any progress. You didn’t delay it’s plan or make it take longer to conduct it because it can just travel back in almost an instant. It’s either you die there or you die after you kill it

 

Just because a good number of people play it doesn't mean there's something wrong with the class.

 

I think its fine just the way it is. Maybe making it more expensive to purchase will stop so many people from buying it.

 

Not my problem that you die, depends on your skill. Some would survive, some wouldn't. Your point is no reason to say it should be nerfed.

No I'm saying just because you die a couple times to someone playing ninja, that doesn't mean the class should be nerfed. Some people happen to be quite good at ninja. If you don't want to die, then figure out ways to survive.

The problem with ninja is that it relatively depends on the victim's pvp ability. Although ninja has no armor, armor will not benefit the ninja if they do not get hit. Therefore ninja can overwhelm a single player, but not multiple players. Ninja itself is not the issue, the high-damage dealing golden sword is the problem.
I am not saying that ninja is op class; i am saying that if a good player uses the class then it will be a bit op, but if a bad player uses the class then it will be underpowered for the user. This gap between overpowered and underpowered is also present within the other classes but ninja has it to a greater extent.

This is the same with any other class. You can kill an assassin or mage and they will be able to easily eliminate you in your weakened state. However, it is pointless to target you after you kill the ninja unless they extremely dislike you. What i am trying to say is that ctf is not just about you, it is not the end of the world if you die. Therefore you can distract the ninja while your teammates steal the flag and capture it. Yes it will be very annoying and painful to deal with the ninja but you are doing your team a favour.

 

Why don’t you try to understand others viewpoint. It’s kinda hard to stay alive when you’re playing a Armor with weak armor that can be 3 shots like Ninja.....

Elf, Mage, Pyro, Assassin and Engineer stands no chance at this point.

Also you’re saying to fight ninja, you have to become a no life people who stays in the basement grinding all day. I play for fun and entertainment but, fighting ninja is begging for too much skill for people who spends their time doing something productive

Atleast nerf the eggs because it gives us blindness and slowness making us lose slight of our reach while the Ninja keeps hitting us with its amazing reach

No slowness and blindness will really make it less unbalanced, but still keep its meaning of the class

 

That's because ninja is supposed to counter them. That's why they're weak against ninja, because they are supposed to be.

No, what I'm saying is that since ninja counters those weak armor classes, that you should:

A) Pick another class that has stronger armor

B) Learn to deal with the ninjas with said weak armor class

 

Maybe change eggs to 5?

Yes i agree, learn to quick switch to melee and try to combo. or use lighting for mage. all free classes should be able to handle the ninjas imo
