    CTF Map Submission

    I'm not currently on a team, but I thought it would be fun to try to make CTF maps based on the existing CTF teams. This first map is based on the CTF team The Crusaders!
    If anyone has any ideas for maps based on their team, feel free to let me know. There are a few teams without many clear ideas for map flavor, so I'd like any help I can get with this project.

    Because the built-in poll only allows for up to 1 question, I'm going to just ask multiple questions here and ask that I be given answers (and reasoning, if you wish) down below. Thanks in advance!


    Should the map be 5 caps, fewer, or more?
    I'm well aware that this map is absolutely tiny. There are no sponges, and flag room is kind of condensed to compensate. The map should meet minimum map size requirements, so now the question is whether or not the caps should be 5 (what it is now), 4 (less), or maybe even 6-7 (more).

    Does the map need more archer cover?
    Another factor that may influence how well the map plays is archer's power level. As it stands, there is relatively sparse cover because it takes less time to get from place to place, and so archer has overall fewer opportunities to get snipes as is. On the other hand, the proportion of time spent in the open is much higher

    Should spawn be changed?
    I've actually recently changed spawn a bit, even before making this post. Spawn is hard to work into a map this small, but I'm determined to make it work. This question is much more open-ended than the previous two, but I would like suggestions if at all possible. I think that spawn is actually fine as is, but if there are quality of life changes that can be made, I'd love to hear ideas.

    Should there be soul sand and/or sponges outside the castle walls?
    I figured that the map was small enough that adding additional movement aids or preventing fall damage might have been a little overkill; I believe it's healthy to allow players to spend extra time climbing ladders and to take fall damage (if implemented correctly). However, I will concede my opinion and design philosophy if it seems like people want higher vertical movement and/or fall damage cancellation.

    This map has potential, however, I would suggest adding more terrain variation. The sparse amount of trees doesn't fix how open and flat the land in the center is.

    I love this so much. Great idea and beautiful map. Would be good to add a little water in the terrtain though. Both for variation and because of Pyros. The crusades weren't completely dry yknow

    This idea is really nice! As for the map, it does give off an offense-biased vibe similar to blackout, something I especially like in the face of many large, overly defensive new maps. I'm thinking 4 caps, similar to Bazaar.

    Here are my thoughts:

    The map is very flat and was hard getting around against archers. Adding more cover besides just trees would be nice. Adding more trees would just not work considering soldier and elf would then be a new problem. The flagroom is fine in size as it's similar size to blackout,

    but I dont think there needs to be water bc camping there during stalemates seems like it would be a massive problem. I would also consider maybe making the cap limit 4 and not 5. Nice simple map though so good job on that.
