Stat Wipe for Permbanned accounts

    Hey guys-

    If you haven’t noticed, the top gold account is @Bidops with ~5500 gold. While this is an impressive achievement, he was permbanned on 8/28 due to 3+ bans across accounts, and will very likely be on the leaderboard for quite some time.

    I would like to propose something I’d like to call the “Bidops Rule”. I propose that permbanned accounts have stats wipes, including gold balance and kills. I propose this just for permbanned accounts, not regular bans where the player still may return. His high balance also taints the leaderboard and calls into question whether his gold was legitimately earned...

    I don't know. Seems a little harsh. However, I don't have much sympathy for permabanned players, and they aren't going to be back for a long time. So, you MIGHT (big might) be on to something.

    Considering that they're permabanned it's not hard to draw the conclusion that their stats were obtained illegitimately.

    100%. 4th on the leaderboards for KitPvP is permbanned as well.

    Well, seeing more people on board with it. I’m all for it now. It MIGHT (another big might) discourage rule breaking or continuous rule breaking.
    This can apply to all gamemodes.

    Can I rasie the issue of permbanned team owners?

    I think thier teams should be transfered to coowner or disbanded?

    I just though of that

    Same idea has been posted at least twice before in the War community. I support it, but I remember there being counterarguments made by staff, and thus the idea never got any further.

    If a player obtains a permanent ban, he won't come back for at least three months (which is an absolute minimum), which also happens to be the length of a raid map, hence wiping their stats would have no effect on them.

    Perm bans should be permanent imo. Case in point is AirstrikeXD, he has over 100 rule violations and I have no clue why he’d ever be allowed back.

    Stat removal *was* done at MCPVP for egregious rule breakers. Once upon a time there was this player named @Miskey who got a 100+ kill streak on CTF as mage by having his friends log in and die. While this was hilarious, and he ended up on top of the leaderboard there, the admins were not happy and every stat for every mode he played on was permanently wiped. So this is possible.

    And finally I get that there’s a coding step when importing stats to keep the player wiped from the board. However the solution to it is have a step that compares the list of players with stats against a list of permbanned players, and remove them programmatically. It’s a case that I’ve coded for in the past for similar use cases- basically, remove records from a table if it’s in a list. Yes there’s $$$ but this really isn’t hard to do.

    Especially for raid, before the player would be unbanned, there is already a new map active. +1

    I don't know about other game modes, but Raid will never increase player base.
    Brawl offers a "Survival PVP" (that is now called Raid). Survival PVP is made up of Pvp combat, Tracking plugins, Farming, and surviving, The game mode is mainly PvP and Tracking from my past 5-6 years experience playing here. The glorious 1.8 downgrade killed the biggest part of the game mode (PVP combat). players tried to adapt but MORE than half ended up quitting because mainly combat was ruined and it was WAY too easy to get rich and OP. within about a week of playing every map I've had 2-3 sets of P4 armor, and a balance of about $2000. Then the staff decided to add an HCF special named KOTH. Well that didn't work, real players knew that lol, you don't bring a HCF event to a survival game mode. (more players left because if we wanted KOTH we would've gone to an HCF server). I totally understand how some of the real staff's intentions were to make the server and game modes better and more updated with updates, but they disregarded what the Survival pvp community would say and they did what they want and now they got a dead game mode and server. They did it to themselves.
    not to mention, Minecraft is a dead game, all servers are dying, nothing will save this one.
    This is not directed to hurt any feelings, just pointing out facts.

    3 months is an absolute minimum, normally they stay banned for at least 6 months, and this is for less extreme offenses.

    I’d like to also mention that the player with the highest kill count, 4KC, was also permbanned a few days ago. So as of now, the top balance player (Bidops) and the top kills player (4KC) are both permbanned.
