Idea Archer rework (mobility buff but hs nerf)

    Recently, I've been playing less and less ctf or just afking due to the amount of arrows I see in the sky shooting towards the spawn points on some map, or just being bowspammed by 15 archers.

    I also thought about an interesting idea with archer for mobility, after thinking back a few years when I used to main ranger in Mineplex champions.

    The ability is disengage, where you can block with your sword (similar to blocking assassinate). The disengage could have 3 uses a life (can be restored by medic) or 1 use every 15-20 seconds. It could knock you back about 10-20 blocks each disengage when you are hit whole blocking. This could help the mobility of archer problem.

    However, due to this mobility, we would have to nerf headshot range, which makes archer op. This archer range could be increased to 40 blocks + to compensate for the mobility archer receives.


    I made a previous post about bowspamming where there needs to be a cooldownn if u don't fully charge bow, but I feel like it isn't as much of an issue. The issue is more of the fact you can shoot into spawn while being uncontested. Nerfing the range while also giving a mobility buff could change or alter archer completely, to not being as oppressive.

    TLDR; give archer mobility ability (cooldowns or uses/life) but nerf hs range

    Anyone else thinking about the wicked trick shots you could do rather than the actual nerf being impactful?

    This could actually make archer more annoying, getting into locations were low mobility classes can't reach, and making archer see (in your case) spawn easier. However, I do like the idea of an increase in mobility for archer. I'm just unsure how to go about that.

    Elf is already a mobility class that uses bows. There are also problems that can be presented by allowing a class with instant kill to access hard to reach areas on the map. I like the idea, but considering these two things it's difficult to implement.
