Idea More gamemodes.

    Now i know its called ctf for a reason but i was given the idea of having more gamemodes including games tf2 includes.
    One of the main gamemodes is a control point game where a team has to defend 2 control points and stop the blue team from capturing both before the time goes out.
    The second is adding something like a payload where you have to get the payload to a point or place before it runs out. There would be smaller points that add a little time to the clock before it runs out. So the red team would have to defend the payload as the blue team tries to push it to the other persons base or a set goal destination.
    These are just a few ideas and modes i loved playing.

    I agree different game modes would be fun with current classes.
    Your first idea we already kinda have in “Zone Control”, the vast majority of the community hate it though.
    Second idea could potentially be cool, wouldn’t mind trying it out. As the game mode is fairly centred around TF2 classes it makes sense that these game modes would translate easily.

    I would agree that the second idea could definitely be neat. One thing I would consider in implementing something like Payload is the way that certain classes have strong area effect/multi-knockback attacks, which could be overpowered in such a situation or lead to stalemates.

    Another game-mode would be 1-flag CTF, where instead of a payload in the middle there is a neutral flag and each team gains points for taking this flag and returning it to their flag capture zone. Another thing to consider is that either Payload or 1-flag CTF maps would require a substantially different style of map and would have considerably different dynamics in terms of high-traffic/high-conflict areas.
