    Why are we not using balance changes in the ppm tourney. There is no reason to do all the testing to just host a big tournament and then not use the BALANCE changes that everyone has been wanting for ever.

    I'm just gonna echo what I said on Discord in here so it's more "permanent" and maybe bring some discussion around this because I think it's a valid question.

    In my opinion, implementing the changes this early straight into competitive without testing and adapting these experiments is potentially unwise as community feedback is incredibly important. Already there have been a variety of conflicting ideas around what's good and bad about the assassin changes in particular and I'd wager it's going to be a while before a final decision is made. This is especially problematic as the Leader Pick Tournament is pretty much about to start and rushing a change into the game wouldn't be the wisest decision.
    Further, a fairly small thing to consider, is how the changes would affect drafting by Team Leaders. As people pointed out in the Discord, it's always going to have an important role in defence, but it's role may change due to potential loss of effectiveness without assassinate being restored. It would be slightly unfair to ask the Team Leaders to complete a draft without knowing the newfound importance to the team an assassin may have. Again it's a small thing but I could understand if some Team Leaders were frustrated by the changes being implemented.

    It's definitely hard and I understand the want to have these balance changes implemented earlier rather than later, especially as they'll more than likely assist competitive game play but I can also understand the reluctance to implement them so suddenly.
