Cross Teaming Protocol for Raid Events

    Hello Raiders,

After much observation and community discussion, we have determined that cross-teaming has become an issue during events such as KOTH. As you are aware, raid has a team size limit that is determined each map. This is done to encourage fair competition between teams and players. However, by 'cross teaming' players can effectively double their team size, steamrolling their competition due to a large number advantage. This protocol will be in affect as of the 4th July 2020.

    Cross Teaming Definition:

Cross-teaming is defined as a group of players that exceed the maps set limit and cooperate over a prolonged period of time by not attacking each other at KOTH or End Event, although they have the opportunity to do so. Cross-teaming can also happen when not purposely fighting another team but simply running around with a group larger than the current team cap. All players across all teams involved in the cross-teaming incident will be punished.

    Punishable Examples:
    • Team A is capping KOTH. Team B is sitting in the KOTH area. Team C tries to contest KOTH. Teams A and B attack team C until team C is annihilated. Team A continues capping KOTH, and team B remains in the area.

    • Team A is capping KOTH. Team B is waiting somewhere away from KOTH. Team C tries to contest KOTH. Teams A fights team C, and team B runs to join the fight. Team B also fights team C until team C is annihilated. Team A continues capping KOTH, and team B retreats.

    Allowed Examples:
    • 3 teams contest KOTH and team A is capping. Teams B and C fight each other, at some points singling out individuals through targeting that they believe are low. All teams fight each other until 1 team is left at the KOTH area.

NOTE: Each report will be judged on a case-by-case basis. These examples provide an insight, but each case will vary. If you are not intentionally cross teaming, then you should not worry. It's very simple, just use your 10 man team and don't get anyone else involved in it.

    What if I cross Team?

If you get caught in a team that decide to cross-team and don't agree with it, simply leave the team to keep yourself protected. Each player will receive a warning prior to any temporary bans so you can avoid any major punishment by stopping. Any player not present in the event will be exempt from the punishment. Any participant in the cross teaming, for any duration, will result in the 6 hour kick.
By kicking the cross teaming teams, they are exempt from receiving event rewards.

What Events is Cross Teaming Disallowed at?

Cross teaming is not allowed in the KOTH event. We also hold the right to add this to any other events we deem necessary and everyone will be informed beforehand. Cross-teaming is never allowed in the KOTH world, even when the event is not active.

Please ask any questions below and we will answer ASAP.
