Idea New class Cryogenicist

    Instead of looking at the thermodynamics of the pyro. Why don't we make a class that uses the concept of ice.

    So I believe it should be called the Cryogenicist, and should rival the Pyro.

    It's armor should be
    Helmet - Pumpkin (FIRE PROTECTION 3)
    Chest piece - Diamond
    Pants - White Dyed Leather (FIRE PROTECTION 3)
    Boots - Baby Blue Dyed Leather (PROTECTION 3)

    Its weapon should be a diamond shovel (SHARPNESS 2)

    Ability- SHEER COLD
    Does the opposite of Pyro ability, instead of damage increase it applies slowness, nausea, and hunger for a limited amount of time. And surrounds the enemy with ice spikes. And if possible just like how the chemist has a potion that applies both strength & speed. How about we give this new class a potion to do slowness and strength to make a more surreal "ice ice baby" effect. But also so it can fight hard in close combat! With that it could possibly have a mutual relationship with the Dwarf?

    The tag you earn from completing all of its achievements is ICE AGE.
    Idk how the brawl team can make up the class. But it's a fun idea, and a nice chance for a new class. You guys can work around the armor enchantments if needed. But the shovel is necessary definitely.

    I have been playing on Brawl for at least 4-5 years now, and I've always wanted to change the server in a rad way! Thank you if you guys add this to the game!

    Medic already fully counters Pyro but I do think having obvious opposites would make gameplay more interesting. I assume by "ice spikes" you mean literal ice blocks that pop up around a target, in which case that would require some sketchy coding that hasn't been seen since the earth element days. Elf already accomplishes freezing players with pure element spam, and the only unique thing you could give it for using ice to its advantage would be Frost Walker, which I don't think would work for 1.8 players.

    One thing you have to understand is that the CTF class array is already incredibly diverse; the players are what make the game so dull. When you've been doing this for 6+ years you get to a point where you don't really have to try, and so you get kill*****s or people that just sit around and chat the entire match. A new class would technically stimulate the meta, but us regs have all the other meta down within an inch by now, and someone would quickly find the hardest counter(s) unless the devs made it freakishly overpowered. When ~200 people account for your entire player base over the years, the competitive energy just dies off, which is why the team scene has become so prominent in the last year especially. Making the player base more dynamic would remove practically any and all need for new classes because the meta has just been eaten alive by very, VERY burnt out brawl boomers.

    Maybe we can remove the ice spikes, and just add the status affects? But snow particles as well when it's active? Jeez I never realized how much information and consideration that a new class requires.

    I probably need to rethink the idea. But I never knew Frost Walker existed! I was thinking about how in Super Mario galaxy, ice Mario can skate over water. I was thinking of that too, but since it's in the 1.15 update definitely can't be put in at the moment I assume. But yeah I like the status affect idea though.
