    ok so its not viable really but theres something. it could become viable. lol

    Has 40 base health instead of 20.

    Has no steak.

    Has diamond helmet, leggings and boots. same armor points as archer.

    Has passive regen III.

    Has stone sword with kb I.

    How to soulbind

    Can Soulbind with an ally (LMB or RMB with the book). Upon soulbinding, the book will become enchanted and has the name of the player you soulbonded with.
    15s combat timer on soulbinding.

    Once you and your partner are soulbound, neither of you can soulbind or be soulbound again until the original soulbind is removed.


    How to remove a soulbind

    60s after soulbinding, you can click your partner to remove the soulbind.
    If you’re soulbound with a pyro and he uses frenzy the book is burned and the soulbind removed :smile: Did I mention that you can only regain the book by dying?

    Passive healing and damage redirection
    While within 15 blocks of your partner, heal for 25% of the damage your partner deals and redirect 25% of the damage your partner takes (after armour) to yourself as pure damage.
    The less armor you have, the more damage is redirected.
    death tag interrupts the redirection of damage, so your partner takes full damage.
    If you or your partner has held the flag for 1 minute, the percentages slowly decrease to 0% over the course of 2 minutes.

    OK I GOTTA CHANGE THE PERCENTAGE OF REDIRECTION IN SUCH A WAY THAT HIGH EFFECTIVE HEALTH CLASSES DONT PROFIT AS MUCH but then again scout can prevent the effectiveness

    Second compass, in addition to the flag compass.
    Second compass always points towards your partner. When you move in the direction of your partner, you have speed II.
    only works if you’re within 30 blocks of each other .



    Discussion

    Should be useful as an offensive support. I dont want oathsworn to be useful on defense or in stalemates. Pyro’s and stalemate holder should not profit much from a soulbind. The tools of speed and knockback will help on offense. I dont think soulbinding anyone else on defense is very useful.
    Keep in mind that you can only soulbind with one player, ahead of time. Only that player will benefit from the reduced damage they take, while in range. So offense didnt become too OP all of a sudden.

    The enemy pyro might suffer too much since he cannot instakill but needs multiple hits, of which the damage will be reduced. I suggest pyro's get to instakill again tbh. you can require them to need 5 or 6 charges to frenzy. THEN AGAIN, only you and the partner will not die to pyro easily. the rest will. although kb.

    seems a bit overcomplicated in comparison to other support classes, but very unique nonetheless. soulbinding for defense would actually be quite viable if done with a pyro, where you could roam out and line up in front of a carrier for a speed 2 frenzy (though there is the cost of the bind). as for offense, it would prove quite effective for tanking ninjas on harsher spots like xx or waitomo farside, and could even go as far as to support a double push into a flag room for cleaner steals - how long does the speed last after you unalign?

    This sounds overly complicated. See if you can simplify its abilities so that their exact functionally can be easily described in at most a sentence or two.

    ohhh you are right! I meant to say the speed is only for the oathsworn but I did write it like its for both and that also makes a lot of sense. I like ur ideas it helps me think better about how it would work in practice!

    I suppose the soulbinding can stay but make it give different abilities. maybe I will think of something! :smile:
