Focus Thread: PvE

    Hey Zombies!

    PvE is going to have to be a crucial aspect of WarZ going forward. It can help veterans stay refreshed with new and engaging things to do outside of just constantly fighting, and it will give new players something to do while they are learning the game. However, PvE is something really abstract and can be taken a lot of different ways, so here are some thoughts

    Ideas
    • Skilling / Skills: Essentially, a player has numerous skills that they can slowly level up. It builds more incentive to do more on WarZ, and also can provide you a nice way to earn loot, credits, and much more. Each skill would have it's own exponential xp system to level up
    • Boss zombie / mob horde events - Would just be another thing to do, a sporadic event where if you kill the specified boss mob, you're given some pretty good awards (would genuinely be a challenging thing to do)
    • Banks - essentially be a form of global storage, they'd be accessible through specific buildings all throughout the map. You could store anything you want in these banks, and the items would be completely accessible cross-server
    • Reactors - would essentially be a king of the hill event, where the team who captures it receives a reward at the end
    • Uplinks - essentially taken directly from CoD, and if your team moves the uplink from points A to B, you would win a reward
    • Safezones: A safezone would essentially be the central hub of a WarZ map. All PvP would be disabled, and you would not be able to enter a safezone if you're tracking or if you're in combat. A loot shop could be here, an upgrade shop, a tour guide to give players a small tour of the map, and many more different NPCs could be here. You could also utilize crates here (see below)
    • Crates - Crates would essentially become a reward provider from different PvE events. In safezones, you could use a crate key that's specified from your event to open a crate that contains a specific loottable for you to win rewards from
    • Currency - Currency could be used in many different ways throughout WarZ. Could be used for bounties on players, for shops in safezones, and for much more. You'd receive currency for wins, kills, PvE event wins, and much more
    • Quests - Quests would be something that could be startable through SafeZones, and would just give a player much more to do throughout the map to give them more to do.
    • Vaults - Vaults would be a consistently moving object throughout the map, that would be possibly obtainable with vault keys. If you manage to beat a very hard parkour to get into the vault, you would receive some really good loot, but good luck getting back out as well :wink:
    • Raids - Tallscot really explained it best, and it's an elaborate plan, so feel free to just go here to read about them
    Changes
    • Compass - If you left clicked the compass, it would maintain it's current tracking abilities, but if you right clicked, it would open up a GUI to allow you to track specific things
    • Bones - Should we base these more off of height fallen and remove a lot of the rng?

    Im totally fine with that but then the map needs to get bigger and when I say bigger I MEAN BIGGER since its going iinto a RPG direction I'd like that for real

    IM DO NOT WANT TO PROMOT ANOTHER SERVER: but you might take a look at infectedrpg i played it alot in 2017 when I wasn't on brawl it has no skills but with more of a rpg based stuff big map alot of gunplay
