Hullo, today I wanna speak a little about the Shade class.

I would like to preface this thread by first stating that I have not done my full in-depth exploration of Shade, I've only spent about an hour with the class. Even so, it is impossible to avoid some glaring features associated with the Shade.

1st. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give only 2 steaks to a full leather class is ridiculous and obviously didn't test the class very much or even at all. This is such a problem not only because of the leather armor but also because of how shade needs to be played. The shade has seen the most success in 1v1s and harassment, yet both of those require higher survivability than the shade can handle with only two steaks.
-Possible Solution: add more steaks, or make it where each kill regenerates a steak.

2nd. The Shade has more multitasking than a high-profile ninja. While this does translate into a higher skill ceiling it also leaves the Shade at a very high disadvantage if they don't get the first hit off or are unprepared. The reason for all this multitasking is of course due to the items the Shade has. I will say that this particular problem could be helped if the Shade was given more survivability but at this moment in time a Shade cannot take a drawn-out fight, it just can't. Too much of Shades advantage depends on the right release of abilities and if you are already down 2 steak and you mess up even one ability its over, it's lowkey stressful and takes away from the fun of the game.

3rd. We need a better explanation of the stone dagger. I read the notes twice and I've played for an hour and not only do I still not know how much damage I'm dealing with, but I also have no clue if I'm using it right or it's even that beneficial. The current description makes it seem like it's a "looming death" effect that every time you hit them the vault above stores the damage and then releases it on them at once. Does that then mean that the damage I'm currently inflicting on them with the sword is negated and used at a later time or are they taking the damage from the sword and then more damage after the countdown? I think the description needs a little help but it's not a huge deal.

It's not all bad, Shade currently excels at 1v1s the combination of blindness and unpredictability due to the phase is very overwhelming and it makes for some very satisfying kills. The blinding is also helpful in assisting your teammates with stealing the flag. However it is being held back by each of these reasons, the steak and survivability most of all.

So that's my current review I'm sorry it's not the most elegant review or best written it's hard to put my complete reasoning in a paragraph. I'm looking forward to hearing what others think, this could be a pretty fun class for sure but as of now it still needs work.
