Alright, I think you both should stop arguing before another flame war happens.

 

1. Popularity isn't everything, and neither is word count
2. See 1
3. Application must be impressive to prove determination, dedication, etc.
4. Words obviously still are important, they're just not everything
5. Of course it does, your application must show dedication

By popular, I mean accepted, liked, and seen as ready for a moderator position.

I would also like to note that adding smiley faces to sarcastic remarks doesn't make it friendly :v

 

Boo, you need TS. You could have a Signatured quality app that is long, detailed, and very well written, but the three main components are activity in the Trinity. You NEED to have TS if you want mod. If you can become extremely active on it for about two or so weeks, you should be all set to let your application roll out. If I am correct, you have Skype, so why not get TS while you are at it? It is free and safe. If you do not heed my words, I will not give a +1. Sorry boo, you are a great friend, but you still have to follow all the requirements. It is just how it is.
EDIT: FYI, pretty sure all of Dwarf's apps were in the old format, meaning less words overall. A lot of the current moderator's apps were short, and they got accepted. Length does not particularly mean EVERYTHING.
