lag and "combat logging"

    On many occasions, I have been attacked by zombies then my internet lags, so i disconnect, and when I reconnect im dead because of "combat logging". Can someone provide a fix for this!

    Log out in a safe place, high up for the best, might consider away from towns.

    You don't get CT when hit by zombies?? I've never..

    Also, you do not get tagged in CT (combat logger) by Zombies.

    The Mc-WarZ server has gotten rid of the lag for me. I guess because the location I live in. But I never get server lag anymore. My internet does lag sometimes though. My Pc is way to good for my windstream internet xD

    This happens to me as well. It defines combat logging as, "Logging out rung combat". If you are taking damage, and then log out, it counts it as a 'Combat Log'. It probably will be fixed in a future update. Thanks for reporting.

    Well IT HAPPENED!


    Usually the internet suddenly drops out, 20 seconds later im kicked, then i rejoin and im dead. So I cant exactly choose where to lag out.

    Well the cause of this is your internet it can not be fixed since when you lag out you stay in servers for about 5-10 sec

    This is not a bug, it's part of the game.
    Use /ct before you log out, and consider upgrading your internet package,
    or if you begin to lag on one server don't log in the same server again for about 5 miniutes.

    Let's explain this:
    Sometimes the servers have lagg spikes and you get kicked. If you rejoin again after it, it's fine. But if you log in and off 3 times in 5 minutes, you also get killed for combat.

    No. That's not it, but if you are being attacked by anything, it will count as combat logging. I'm pretty sure that you leave the server as soon as your Minecraft crashes.

    Yeah, but my point is that when you are about to crash you usually have a 10 - 15 second lag spike before, and during that time you can still be attacked :v But it might be combat logging too :v

    Minecraft doesn't crash, the connection times out.

    True, I die from that a lot too.
    The problem is the client-side internet lag.
    I cant simply "upgrade my internet package". My internet speed is at the fastest it could possibly for where I live at less than a Mb/s. You lucky Americans/Europeans/Asians have a much greater network that us Australians.

    Zombies don't hit for combat tag, and neither does fall damage. Tested and tried.
    Also, I shot, and logged before the bullet hit, and the bullet disappeared and no one got combat logged. Side note, but interesting information.
    Urkogun was who I tested it on...

    The same thing happened to me.
    I was attacked by zombies, then I was kicked for "flying" because I was stuck in a block. I logged back in, I was dead, and it said "Do not abuse combat logging" I'm just like "um i didnt combat log"
    /ct only works if your Minecraft is still pinging the server, and the command just puts a little message in the chat log. The chat logs, as well as entities, other players, utilities freeze when you lag.
    Hope this makes sense

    I think just a good thing to do when the server is lagging a lot is to

    A. Play on a server where you don't mind dying.
    B. Just don't play WarZ.
    C. Try to avoid being attacked by zombies and also PvP so that way if you do lag out and get kicked then hopefully it won't be combat logging.
