X Museum(V1.2) - Scoat2

This is quite a nice map, but a few points to address:

The colour palette is fairly bland. It basically consists of white (quartz), green (grass/trees), and grey (stone slabs). You should try and expand this slightly by adding some kind of pattern on the ground such as a cobblestone, stone slab, and dirt combination for example. As for the building, use quartz as the central colour, but perhaps make the balconies/windows out of a coloured clay.

Another point to note is the areas outside of the map. You should really build at least a small portion of the area surrounding the map so that you don't see any void from anywhere inside the playable area. Also, it just looks a lot cleaner, nicer, and makes it more likely that your map will be accepted.

Next, try and make the grass slopes looks natural. Currently the grass is just in straight lines. Fiddle with the terrain a little and make it look a bit messy in order to generate a natural feel to the landscape.

Finally, add more detail to the map. Perhaps there are fallen trees and debris on the grass. Perhaps there are benches and trashcans on the concrete. Just fill in the open, empty areas with something. This includes the interior and anny walls. It just adds to the overall feel of the map.

Overall it's a great map and with a few tweaks, I could certainly see it on the MC-War server.

 

How are you so good at... Everything? Skins, banners, maps... What's next? Can you code? Anyways, great map. The structures look great, the map is a good size, an there is lots of detail. I recommend taking some of Sturm's advice. He is an experienced map maker, and know he what he is talking about. I think this map has great potential, and I hope to see it accepted!

Sounds interesting, it has a nice chance to be added. Perhaps, look for possible spawn areas, and do an Easter egg for putty (he is collecting them),

 

No offense Sturmspitz, but I think this choice of colour looks really good.
I always thought that your maps are a bit to colourfull (they are still awesome!).

The other points are very helpfull.
