HELLO EVERYBODY! I am Chrono482, I am making this post, because I have learned how to flank in both Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and I snuck one in at 5 fps on mc-war the other day. Lot's of people asked me how I did it, so I figured I would make this guide to educate you people in the element of surprise.

What is flanking?: Flanking is a strategy where the player using it gets behind enemy lines, and fires upon a large group of people in the offense, obtaining many kills, than reaching friendly lines before he/she is killed.

Why is flanking a good strategy?: Flanking is actually a very safe strategy for getting a good killstreak. Why? When you flank, you have no bullets coming at you because all of the enemies are facing away from you. Unless they are getting shot, they won't turn around.

How can flanking kill me?: Well flanking is actually very risky if you don't know what your doing. Example, if you go behind enemy lines, but too close to the enemy spawn, people are going to actually come up behind you, as your flanking their team. One way around this is only flanking people when they're numbers are invading your spawn, because it's hard for other enemies to get to that point, and flanking them wouldn't pose a vulnerability to yourself. Another way is to hide as you flank, maybe you can sit on a roof and shoot the from behind from a distance, or in a windowsill. Or in a corner if your in the mood. This removes the threat of vulnerability completely, but enemies will come up there to kill you after your done so you can only flank in that location one time. Sadly.

Can I flank in infect?: Although it'd be very difficult to do, due to the camping, sometimes a flank is all you need to win a game. If your a zombie in infect and you know where some enemies are camping, you can actually go through a path they are not guarding. Example, you can throw a grenade Molotov up on top of the bridge in Seatown, and then run them down when they fall off from the flames. Or you could easily flank somebody as they are running toward they're camping spot, by taking a wide circle into their spawn, and chasing him down.

How do I become a flanking master?: Well I can't tell you that, but I can give you tips, if you want to flank, you need to know the map, the enemy, and your cons. If you know the map, you know every path that leads behind a spot where some targets might take up hold. If you know the enemy, you know where they might go, how they might go there, and how many times they will. If you master your enemy, you can easily flank anybody as many times as you want. If you know yourself, you can acknowledge what you can and cannot do as you flank. If you're bad with numbers, you may not want to take on a group, but a couple people alone. If your bad with ammo, try to only go after one person at a time, instead of getting every enemy's attention.

How can I flank with each weapon type?: If your a shotgun person, try to flank as often as you can, it leads to a great game, and flanking is the easiest way to get close. But you may need to avoid open areas, as a shotgun leads you defenseless if you get shot at from medium range as your sneaking behind enemy lines. If your a machine gun person, try to make your way towards enemy lines quickly, as you don't want to get into trouble on the way there and waste your ammo or miss your chance because you took too long. If your a sniper, try to get into buildings that watch over the entire map, these put you in the open, but opens you to see multiple enemy lines from the side/behind in a single go. Watch out though, if you miss, they open fire on you.

What if I can't flank?: Well some strategies don't work for some people. Example, I can't camp, or handle groups of people too well. If you can't flank and you just keep dying, try something else, maybe camping, or long range combat, or don't use any strategy and just go for head on combat. There's no problem if you can't flank.

Can I flank with the knife?: Well you can, but it can be difficult. It involves knowing your enemy more than anything. If you attempt to knife somebody, chances are they're going to back off into the enemy's line of sight, so if you go after them, you'll get shot out. What I do when I run out of ammo, is I go after a single person, as they are pinned. Example, if they hide behind cover, or are sitting in a corner/doorway. That way when they fly back, they can't move due to the wall/door in the way. Also you can throw a Molotov and practically blind them, than they will be more focused on getting away, than shooting you.

Well guys there's my guide for flanking, I hope it helps you at your games and opens your K/D to new heights. If you didn't find this helpful, I'm sorry, you can try to find another guide. SEE YA!

meh, i would say that this guide is useful, but theres some information that is false/misleading
There is a large amount of "if you do this exactly you will win" kind of ideas were, in fact, theres a really good chance that there will be someone behind you (for example) when you flank. Maybe add something like "don't rush to flank if theres a sniper watching the enemy's back" or something
Don't get me wrong, this is a useful guide, but it needs revision
