    GAMEMODES

There are currently 9 gamemodes in MC-War. You can see the upcoming gamemode if you look above your inventory slots, or by using the piece of leather in your inventory to vote.

    Team Death Match (TDM)

TDM is the simplest and most widely known gamemode on MC-War. There are 2 teams, each with a general spawnpoint on the map. The goal for both teams (red and blue) is to get more kills than the enemy. Each team usually has the same amount of players. A game will end when the time runs out, or if a team surpasses 200 kills.

    Weapons: All
    Teams: Red and Blue
    Time: 10 minutes
    Objective: 200 team kills

    Tips for new players:

    • Be sure to use a weapon that is well suited to the map.
    • Find a good choke point where lots of enemies come through.
    • Don't always stay in one place for too long.
    • Try to get the enemy from behind.
    Kill Confirmed (KC)

The objective for Kill Confirmed is to collect the enemy team's tags. KC is just like a TDM, however when a player dies, they will drop a name tag with their name floating above it. It is your job to collect not only the enemy team's tags, but also your own teammates' tags. The first team to collect 100 of the other team's tags wins.

    Weapons: All
    Teams: Red and Blue
    Time: 10 minutes
Objective: Collect 100 of the enemy's death tags (Note: Collecting your own team's tags adds to your team's total)

    Tips for new players:
    • Players should be offensive in order to collect the tags of the enemies they drop.
    • Collect your teammates tags, they add to your teams total and can help you win the game.
    • If you see a lot of tags in one place, try to make sure no enemy can get them before you or a teammate.

    Capture The Flag (CTF)

The main objective of CTF is to steal the enemy flag, bringing it back to your own. This flag is normally close to the enemy spawnpoint. The flag itself is recognizable as a fence post with a red or blue banner on top. The color indicates which team it belongs to. Your mission is to steal this banner and to capture it by bringing it to your own flag. The game will end when time runs out, or if a team gets 3 flag captures.

    Weapons: All
    Teams: Red and Blue

    Time: 10 minutes
Objective: Capture Enemy Flag (3 times)

    Tips for new players:
    • Be aware of enemies near the flag.
    • If it's not safe to snatch it, then it's probably not worth the attempt.
    Demolition (DEMO)

The objective of this gamemode is to plant or defuse a bomb. The game starts the same as TDM, but the players on the red team will spawn with a bomb. The players on the red team must plant the bomb by eating it on the bombsite (a square of lapis lazuli on the floor). The blue team needs to try and defuse the bomb by right clicking into it, and a timer comes up for 3 seconds while you are defusing in which you cannot move. The game ends when the time runs out or when both bombsites are destroyed. While a bomb is planted, the timer stops. (Note: Already destroyed bombsites will have a redstone outline rather than lapis lazuli.)

    Weapons: All
    Teams: Red and Blue
Time: 3 mins for one bombsite to be destroyed, an additional 3 minutes is added once it is destroyed. (Note: The timer pauses while a bomb is panted.)
Objective: Attack and plant the bomb/defend and defuse the bomb.

    Tips for new players:
    • Once a bomb is planted hide somewhere around the bombsite and wait until a player is near or defusing the bomb then attack them.
    • As a blue member, camp around a site which has no bomb planted on it so that no reds can plant at the site.
    Domination (DOM)

The aim of this gamemode is for players to capture and hold points around the map, indicated by a square of emerald blocks at the start of a game and then the color of the team which currently holds the point. To capture a point, players stand inside the square and a bar will appear at the top which shows how close a point is to being captured. Players usually battle over point B, located in the middle of the map. For each second a point is held a team earns one point, first to 750 wins.

    Weapons: All
    Teams: Red and Blue
    Time: 10 minutes
    Objective: Gain 750 points

    Tips for new players:

    • Move around while you’re on the point so you are harder to shoot.
    • Camp near the your teams points to ensure no players can capture it.
    Infect (INF)

The objective in this gamemode is simply to avoid being infected! When the game starts, all players aside from 1 are set to be survivors. The other player becomes the root infected. The aim for this player is to infect all remaining survivors. To help them do this, the root infected begins with a pistol until another player becomes infected. The infected can hit survivors to instantly kill them, infecting them and switching them to their side. Once infected, it is then the job of these players to infect survivors as well. In addition, equipment such as grenades can be used as an infected player with ELITE, and all survivors can use any lethal or tactical. A game will end when time runs out, or if everyone is infected. Killstreaks are not available in infect.

Weapons: Survivor - All ; Infected -Tactical Knife/Fists (hit a player to infect them) + Equipment (if ELITE)
Teams: Survivors (Blue armor) and Infected (Green armor and zombie heads)

    Time: 5 minutes
Objective: Kill All Survivors / Don't Get Infected

    Tips for new players:
    • Find a camping spot with entrances that can be easily defended.
    • Be extremely careful about grenades and C4's, try to dodge them at all costs.
    • The element of surprise is vital in Infect. If you play as an infected, run to the human camping spots as fast as you can and kill them as they arrive.
    • Flanking with the element of surprise is a useful tactic; the best way to kill survivors is to get behind them.
    • Marathon is useful in this gamemode for the infected, while scavenger is useful for the survivors. Marathon may be utilized by the zombies to charge the enemy without slowing down, giving the survivor less of a window of opportunity to reload or shoot. Scavenger is useful for survivors because it gives small amounts of ammunition per kill, providing the remaining players almost everlasting firepower.
    Free For All (FFA)

In the FFA (Free-for-all) gamemode, there are no teams. This means that every player has to fend for themself. You don’t have a static spawnpoint, meaning you can spawn anywhere on the current map. A free-for-all game will end when time runs out, or if a certain player reaches 30 kills.

    Weapons: All
Teams: None (All players have Pink armor)
    Time: 10 minutes
    Objective: 30 kills

    Tips for new players:
    • Conserving ammunition isn't a big deal, assault rifles or other automatic weapons are best for this gamemode.
    • Camping makes it far more difficult to get kills quickly. In order to win you often have to put yourself directly in the line of fire.
    Gungame (GG)

Every player starts with only a sword and the starter weapon (a USP .45) in their inventory. When you kill someone, your weapon will level up and cycle to a new weapon. A game will end when the timer runs out, or if a player successfully rotates through all weapons in the gun list, which consists of 30 weapons.

Weapons: Tactical Knife, Most Primary and Secondary Weapons
Teams: None (All players have Pink armor)
    Time: 10 minutes
    Objective: 30 kills

    RPK
    M240
    M249 SAW

    Sniper Rifles:
    Dragunov
    MSR
    Barrett .50cal
    M21 EBR
    Intervention

    Special Weapons:
    Knife
    Tips for new players:

    • Slight of Hand is a useful perk to use in this game mode as your weapons will reload twice as fast.
    • Another very useful perk to use is the Stopping Power, because your weapons will do 10 extra damage.
    One In The Chamber (OITC)

In this gamemode every attack will instantly kill other players. This includes bullets and your knife. You only receive one bullet, and you can only gain another bullet by killing a player. You have 3 lives. When you lose all these lives you are eliminated from the game. A game will end when time runs out, or if there is only one player left standing.

    Weapons: Tactical Knife, M9 Pistol
Teams: None (All players have Pink armor)
    Time: 10 minutes
    Objective: Last player standing

    Tips for new players:

    • Once you have the highest amount of kills, try hiding until the round ends to win.
    • Marathon is a useful perk to use as it allows for you to run forever, which makes moving around the map and escaping other players easier.
