This has been gone over several times.
It will hypothetically have LITERALLY the same effect as steak, with a different texture, so that it makes sense to new players.
Also, you could also say "eating" steak delays it, except it's instantaneous. What makes you think coders can't do the exact same with potions?

Generally fix all the bugs before moving on to other projects, there are some really annoying bugs/glitches that need to be fixed ASAP (I already know they're doing it so nothing else to complain about :v).

 

Steak and soup honestly make a complete indifference to gameplay. Adding different playstyles such as pots would be dumb too as it would defeat the purpose of which chemist was made for (that is being a potmaster)

 

Can we just stop being salty over Chemist? Let's just make something positive out of this situation, and advertise Chemist as something with INSTANT HEALTH III. Because to be honest... that's pretty cool.

 

I want a Lambourghini.

Guys: I have a solution:
I made a texture pack where both soup and steak look like hearts. Download and install. Solved!

 

In reply to no one in particular, why not take the resource pack @Sir_Inge is making and have him change the steaks to giant red pluses. That's a pretty well known sign of health, right? Rename it to "Health" just for extra measure. I'm pretty sure anyone, new or not, would get the message, and if they want the old steak look back, change to default.

well this was too long didn't read but um
I'm not down for potions or soup...
Do potions even stack? Soup doesn't. I've always sucked at soup.
Maybe put some signs or something letting noobs know steak is for healing? Thats how I first learned, another server used steak and there were signs and messages in chat saying it was for healing.
Do potions even stack? It takes to long to drink one too...

 

We'd make them insta-drink. Potions can be made to stack and so can soups, but if they ever came unstacked they couldn't be re-stacked. Try this when playing chemist.
