Recovering perhaps, but ninja capping takes little skill. All you need to do is know the right capping routes, and have a half decent aim, and you should be able to cap most of the time unless the other team's defence is half decent.

I agree, but if you want to just kill people with ninja unless it is an assassin, it will be hard.

I think all of them take skill to play, it just depends how you decide to play them. For example, chemist takes some skill, but if you pot spam it's quite easy but not very efficient. I think some classes are too op such as dwarf, it's easy to camp by the flag and critically damage a player while not being vulnerable after you hit them.

As a professional freeday engineer main, I am startled by your lack of knowledge. To play engineer effectively, you need to be extremely intellectual and strategic, and you must know all the ins and outs of every map. You must also know how to effectively counter classes that try to attack your engi nest.

With the nerf that hit engi a while ago, the most popular engi tactic was made obsolete: AFKing. Now, the amount of effective, objectively playing engineers are limited to a select, skilful few.

An engineer turreNt is useless if you don't know the map well. It needs to be placed in a key location so that teammates would want to teleport in, with enough enemies walking through that your turreNt affects the enemy offence significantly. Of course, I don't expect every new player to know how to find the ideal engi nest spot, as it requires finding the middle of a map, and counting other players.

Another thing you have to be mindful of is headshots. Archers will always try to shoot you, and if you are stationary or too close to your turreNt, you will get headshotted and lose your hard-earned 23 killstreak. You need to develop strategies to counter this cheap insta-kill method of killing you, such as pressing "W", "A", "S" or "D" in a random order to counter the spray-n-pray, or hiding behind an object.

You also have to be mindful of your turreNt's health and wellbeing. Engineer was nerfed really hard last update, and now you have to make sure you repair your turreNt. You can no longer hide and let your turreNt do all the work: you must now actively pop out of your hiding spot for all of two seconds and repair the turreNt. This leaves you horrifyingly vulnerable to enemy attackers, which brings me to my next point.

Enemies will always target your engi nest: most notably the noob instakill classes that require no skill. You must learn to effectively counter these enemies to ensure you survive. If an assassin is running at you, you must master the tactic of running backwards and blocking with your sword if they get too close. However, blocking also disables your turreNt: another massive disadvantage to the already easily-counterable class. Pyros can also break your turreNt with their axe or instakill you, so you must be able to spamclick your cake in order to survive the pyro fire, and have the patience to wait for someone else to teleport in to your engi nest as cannon fodder while you repair/rebuild your turreNt.

Occasionally, other classes will come in and try to attack you. If you have teammates around, it is important that you hide behind them and let them die before you do, or run around and spam click your cake while your turreNt deals big damage. You need to be very skilled, as engineer is a weak PVP class that can only hit an enemy 7-10 blocks back in a couple of hits with its pickaxe.

Finally, you must master the art of alternating between manual and automatic control. True master engineers use their manual control once in a while to demonstrate their dead-centre aim, but know to switch back to the automatic as soon as an enemy enters 1000 blocks of their turreNt.

All in all, you can see the sheer amount of skill and game theory that goes into playing engineer. Please consider these before making any further rash comments about the most skilled class in CTF.

    Sincerely,
Engi mains of CTF Free Friday

Mage is op in some ways: inf health pool, corridors, and sending enemies into the void, but assassins, sometimes ninjas and perhaps elves can rek you. It's all about the skeelz.

In defense of the mage class:

    Bewildering assumptions in //*//
    My commentary in "*"

    //Mage is OP!!!//
"No it's not overpowered, it's a good class which should stay that way, otherwise people won't buy it... and classes need to be bought i.o for brawl to make money..."

    //Mage takes no skill!//
"Really? Why don't you try to get a higher killstreak with mage then @LordCh4os is able to get with archer and @Roscoe_Lim is able to get with pyro... Also, compare some mage mains, watch a mage 1 vs 1 between me and @Sir_Inge and you will notice that it does take some skill"

//Mage is unbalanced and way stronger then other classes when compared...//
"Really? Compare "spellspam" where every shot definetly isn't a hit, with swordspam and consider an engi turret which is basically a mage aimbot, pyro which takes people down in a second and decent assassins slaying mages..."

//People on this poll think mage is OP as it is voted the most//
"Yes, but they are biased... The majority of the CTF regulars are ninja mains, and the ninja class is easily taken down by a mage (atleast by a good mage!)"

Some last commentary: Mage doesn't blink out in both killwhoring and objective, it's just a good class which should stay that way. Again compare mage vs heavy/soldier & pyro vs /heavy soldier. If the class really didn't took skill then all those unknown freedayfriday mages should be a challenge to fight...

um first of all thanks for saying that I can get good killstreaks! My aim is mainly to play the game though XD Secondly, killstreaks and how OP a class is don't necessarily correlate. I mean you can essentially spawncamp with any class and a couple of good medics for a ridiculous ks (as quite a few people can do) but that doesn't necessarily mean the class they use is overpowered, it just means they use a particular tactic. With that In mind, I don't really think you can use that as a justification to say that mage isn't overpowered.
To be honest, mage has got an infinite health pool with the healing spell, a solid way to do damage from range with it's damage spell, the ability to freeze players and objects for easy flag recovery and the ability to set people on fire to slow them down and susceptible to pyro instakill. It also has a spell with AoE damage and knocks players flying. The armor is the only downside with it. I think it would be wrong to say mage isn't overpowered, even if not as much compared to some other classes

Not everyone can be as perfect as you November :^)

Longest killstreak I ever got was 10 and that's after playing quite a bit of Mage and learning to hotkey. Note: the stats below do not accurately reflect my Mage playing time^^

    Least skilled classes.
Assassin(simple right click and instakill, requires no skill, just patience and a right hand)
Mage(hold right click to spam spells, you can mix it up, but honestly its for people who want to kill everyone for fun)
    Engineer(Place, hide, replace, repeat)
Ninja cappers(enderpearl before they grab the flag, You literally have to be a dwarf or look at the flag constantly because its all over in 1.5 seconds or less)
Pyro(literally just spam flint or hold bow and fire on anyone except a medic to kill them, only requires skill against medics.)
    Chemist(specifically the pot spammers)

Now to the skill requiring classes.
Elf(low number of arrows that do regenerate, but not fast enough, and weak armor)
Necro(severely, severely underpowered since some fool wanted necro to have same nerfs as engineer)
Normal ninjas(ninjas who dont do ninja capping a lot(very few), and go for the kill, people like ebola.)
Dwarf(yes yes, but do remember it takes time to gain lvls, and during that time it can easily be grouped on, without a medic and if its under lvl 5 its dead, and assassins own dwarves like no tomorrow, and its one of the best classes for defense, especially on ninja cappers, you know who you are -.-)
Archer(i dont care what people think of archer, archers takes skill, and timing to get a shot, yea yea, 128 arrows, but you dont want to waste them all on one target, especially since archers are everywhere now.)
Chemist(normal chemists like blackfurrykitty who can own anyone as a chemist, the main threat to these chemists are pyros, and archers)

Now, I forgot one class, its the most retarded class and was made as an april fools joke, and should be removed since the crafting table is glitched, and you most of the time cant even make fireworks.

Fashionista(the laggiest class there ever dang was, its pointless now since you cant make fireworks since the crafting tables glitched, but if and when you do make fireworks it lags everyones game and sometimes crashes the server, its retarded.)

I'd say the easiest to use is heavy, but by no means is it the most overpowered.
IMO it's pyro because you have to adapt your capping strategy to whether there are pyros or not, other classes don't make you counter them, it's just an option.
But against an average pyro player on defense you really gotta medic or chemist, or be really lucky.
