CTF Top 5 Plays of the Week/Month?

I think I've recorded more fails then highlights... Perhaps not a highlight reel, but a ctf funny/fail moments montage? We all have them, we're all human. (Execpt for birdgirl. She is a bird)

 

That was mainly because a certain someone forgot the password to the account, though. ^^

It's certainly a fun idea, but requires (a) a pretty large group of people willing to submit content on a regular basis and (b) a viewership with sustained interest. If you guys can provide that, it should work out fine.

 

I would so love to see this xD. Community's funniest moments and best phails is a subject with pplleennttyy of content. I should actually have a good number of fails recorded for myself, too ^-^. For the best plays n such, I think you should still go ahead and ask for those clips, too, since it'd be pretty cool to see that, but I honestly think they'll be a good deal less popular than the fails/jokes. Take a good long look at the Community Screenshots if you're gonna include some pictures xD (good luck with that one though lol)

Probably shouldn't have a top 5 of the Week/Month cuz I don't really think you'll get enough content for good montages. If you released them every once in a while according to how much footage you get, then you'll probably be better off because you'll have as much as you need. I doubt the timeliness of the releases with affect the popularity of the series.

edit #(whatever number above +1): oh wait it's top 5 not like top 20 or something. Eh, still could work, but I honestly would like to see longer montages at the expense of more time. Totally worth it imo.

 

I was too lazy to read all the posts but make a top 10 fails like in Sports Center

Also i think you should have a top 5 of separate stuff like top 5 caps and top 5 kills and top 5 recovs, etc...

If this is gonna work, you'll want reasonable goals. Any "Top _ clips of the week" will probably die out within a month or two. I think monthly or bi monthly would be the way to go.

One way weekly videos could work is having other content to fill the weeks.

To kick-start it you should collect enough clips for a couple months content. That should create a buffer while people begin to send in clips.

For the extra content idea, during the month the channel could have map reviews @Lugia_ or gameplay/map/class tips(one/two tips per video as to not exhaust content quickly). Audio or text interviews with players if that interests anyone(don't confuse people who enjoy the interviews and people who say they're interested simply because they want to be interviewed themselves). So this could be going ham 3.0 in video format with a forum thread acting as a hub for new video showcasing and discussion.

As for the channel.. I think the crazy electro beat music theme is very over done.. I personally think a upbeat/informative style would look very nice. I'm willing to help with graphics if you want it.

tl;dr gameplay clips should be generously spaced out and upload bite sized CTF content to fill the rest of the month. This could become going ham 3.0
