    Citizens of CTF, have a glance at my latest finds for Engineer Flag Camping spots and more!

    I will be listing the maps that you can flag-camp in, if they are unreachable, which sides it works on (Blue, Red or both), etc.

    Feel free to abuse these spots as you please. I recommend having an engineer team of at least 3 players for max efficiency!
    If you find more of these spots, let me know and I'll add them to the list.

    To be honest, I don't think one engineer at the flag is such a big deal, although 2-3+ is. Honestly, engineer is at the point where killing the actual engineer is extremely easy in most situations. All this really does is prevent ninja capping to an extent and lower the health of players before they steal the flag, which is what you want to be doing on defense anyway. As I previously stated, if it's only one engineer, I don't have a problem with it.

    Engi camping is pathetic. Its just cheap and should be removed. Ik it wont b completely removed but atleast remove it from flagrooms. An auto shooting turret can kill ninjas and assassins easy. And in a flagroom with dwarves and a bunch of other defense its almost impossible to steal let alone cap.

    There should be a restriction where Engineer buildings cannot be within a 10-20 block range of a different Engineer's buildings.

    Yet another reason to completely remove engi :> but that will never happen :c But a ctf without dwarf,engi, and instakills would be amazing.

    But anyway I find engi really annoying to deal with because of how easy it is to set up and how much damage it can do very quickly.

    More importantly, while I do think the turrets are annoying, they aren't the biggest threat. The teleporters, in my opinion are the most dangerous thing to deal with. This is because by setting up a tp, enemies can respawn and reach the opponents' flag faster than the defenders can even respawn and defend. While engineers have some counters (namely Pyro), they usually not effective once the engi has set up because of the people who spawn in and defend the engi.

    While this is an idea, I think a TF2 style engi would be a viable rework, with each machine being quite nooby and outclassed at first but get better over time. I have yet to think of a good levelling system (don't say necro, necro's levelling system is bad) so I hope you guys can help expand and critic the idea.

    I agree, the only thing that annoys me more than engineer (besides Assassin) is people who actually defend the engineer. I don't like the tf2 system of engineer because it still requires little pvp skill and makes it a snowball class, which is a big no-no.
    My idea for engineer is that the turret's auto-fire is pretty inaccurate, while manual-fire is more accurate. While manual-fire does a bit more damage, the arrows don't come out as often (Ex. Mage's Damage Spell cooldown per manual arrow shot) The engineer has a range of 15 blocks of the turret to be able to manually fire it. If the engineer is not within 15 blocks of the turret, they cannot manual fire it.
    This would keep Engineers next to their turret if they want to defend their setup and/or get gets, while incorporating some more player skill with aiming the turret manually instead of running around spamming the cake. I have yet to come up with a balanced idea for teleporters and the cake, however.

    But you see the problem is not the cake. Cake isn't that bad aside from the fact it removes fire. We need nerfs on the teleporters

    I wholeheartedly agree that the teleporter is op af. Personally I think that the teleporter should break on its own after a while, forcing the engi to leave his easily defended position to put it back. Then again i just run off to put it in some hidden place far away from the turret anyways.
