Sorry guys. I have started college up, and without going too in depth with everything, I'm taking a lot of classes and working two jobs, so I'm sorry if this has been long anticipated and I wasn't able to produce it sooner. However, I'm here now, and so are Chapters 1, 2, and 3. So without further adieu, chapter 4 is here.

Chapter 4
[P.O.V. Nuke]
Outside CAP's base
I had been sitting in this tree for hours and not a single medic had shown up. What did a guy have to do to shoot
someone around here? We had split into our three group and separated near dusk. Now it was getting late, the sun was going down, and we were waiting for me to begin the revenge. I remember what Chaos had said. 'Nuke, you will wait for their medic to show up. They have to have at least one. Take him out and they loose their ability to heal. Group one will go in shortly after that.' It was a little silly having a pyro attempt to set a medic on fire, but chaos had never been wrong before, so I trusted him. I shifted side to side to try to shake the tenseness out of my knees. Our group, group one, had been sitting in this tree for a long time and they were becoming uneasy.
"It doesn't look like anyone is coming. We should take our chances with a surprise attack." Sporty hissed from
behind me. I shook my head and I heard Deplicasus from my right.
"Yea. We can take 'em Nuke. Let's get out of this dumb tree and into some fighting. You know you wanna." Again I
shook my head. Then from above us.
"Hey guys. Chaos gave Nuke a job. Stick to the original plan and stop talking. Someone could hear us." I breathed a
silent thank you up to the mage and resumed my watch. Suddenly the bushes rustled at the far edge of the clearing and a medic in gold armor followed by what appeared to be a mage stepped out. I sat up a bit taller and pulled my bow from behind me. This was it! Finally a medic had showed himself. a stick tapped me on the head and I looked up to see Stlast motioning towards them. I nodded and gave a thumbs up before settling into a good archer position. The thick, leafy foliage was obstructing my view just the littlest bit, but I was used to much worse. The thought of what I was about to do flashed through my mind, but I shook it clear. This was a job; simple as that.
"Take the shot, Nuke." Sporty whispered once again. I ignored him and continued tightening my bow strings. They
weren't close enough for an accurate shot. I wasn't Chaos. I couldn't headshot from 50 blocks away. "Why aren't you shooting, Nuke? Do you need me to? I'm pretty good with a bow when I wanna be." I breathed out loudly and shifted my weight again. Hopefully he would get the memo. This was my job. My hands were getting a little shaky, though. That was new. I raised the bow to my line of sight and set the arrow in, lighting it beforehand. Hopefully they wouldn't see the flicker of light. My breath caught in my throat when I aimed at them. Still too far away; darn. Thankfully they were still ambling towards the middle of the clearing. I waited, my hands becoming progressively worse and my heartbeat quickening. It all counted on me not missing the shot. I had one chance at this and I couldn't let it go to waste. Finally, the medic and elf stopped in the center with me having a clean view of them. I took a ragged breath in to try to steady my hands and pulled the bow taunt. Holding it, I aimed at the medic's head. This was it. I released my breath at the same time my hands shook violently and I let the arrow fly. It soared through the sky, but I knew something was off about it. It was almost at the medic when I saw the elf turn and throw something from his pocket straight in the direction my arrow was coming from. There was a hiss, a puff of mist, and my arrow landed harmlessly in between them. I cursed under my breath as the elf began frantically looking around and the medic ran off into the distance, probably to warn his teammates. The moment of surprise was gone. I took the shot and blew it. I stood up on my branch, pulled out my axe and flint, and called back to my team without turning around.
"Looks like there's been a change of plans. We're moving in on foot. Let's go." Then I leapt down off the branch.
[P.O.V. Tele]
After the shot
"Sir. It looks like Nuke has missed his shot. They're going in on foot." I called to Chaos, who was laying down in
a crook of the tree group two was situated in. He sighed.
"Knew I should've just taken the shot, but I wanted to give others the opportunity. Oh well. We'll be moving out
soon then. Wait for the enemy to gather. I'm sure Deplicasus will protect the group until we make our move." He seemed so relaxed. It was unlike him in the heat of battle to be this uncaring. However, he was Chaos, our captain and our fellow archer, so who was I to decide if he was ok or not. I nodded to show I had acknowledged the order and kept my eyes on group one. They were having a rough time down there. More people were gather and they were very outnumbered. Chaos had been right, though. Deplicasus was taking on more than a couple himself and Nuke was engaged in a heated brawl with an elf. They were holding up nicely. I climbed a little higher in the tree, being careful not to look down. I hated heights and would much prefer being on the ground dodging between enemies. I squinted out through the canopy to see a wave of enemies heading towards the clearing. This was bad.
"Chaos, sir. There's a lot of enemies heading towards group 1. Should we attack now?" Gala glared up at me from
near Chaos.
"Respect our captain, Tele. He decides when we go in, not you." I glared back at him and began to make a snarky
remark. However, I was interrupted by Chaos appearing next to me. He staggered a bit on the thin footing, but recovered and pulled his bow out. Glancing out into the distance, he raised his bow and shot three consecutive shots. Down below, I saw each arrow land in it's mark. That was Chaos for you. I whistled quietly.
"Triple kill. Too easy for me." He seemed to loose his focus for a moment and I went to steady him before he could
all out of the tree. He caught himself at the last second, though, and moved back down to where Latias was setting up his turret. I followed closely behind, watching to make sure he wouldn't stumble again. This was very unlike him.
"Latias, is this thing ready for battle yet? We need to move fast." He asked once he was by Latias's side. Latias looked
up with a smile on his face.
"Sure thing Chaos! She's locked and loaded. Nothing's getting past her while I'm here." Chaos nodded.
"That's what I like to hear. We're moving out. Let's go team." I began to make my way further down the tree when
all of a sudden Chaos knocked my feet out from underneath me. I used my sword to catch myself from falling all the way down to the ground and looked up and Chaos in disbelief.
"What the heck! I could've been killed, Chaos!" His expression was grim and it was then that I noticed the arrow
sticking in the bark right where my head had been a moment ago. My eyes widened. "Please tell me that was just one of your misfires." He shook his head and glanced through the leaves before dodging yet another shot, seemingly out of nowhere.
"That wasn't a misfire. It's Brandino." He growled, pulling out his bow as well and firing twice before moving to
avoid another arrow. I pulled myself up from where I was hanging and sidestepped to avoid the arrow that was aimed right for me.
"Brandino, sir? Who's he?" He pulled me around to the other side of the tree and called up for the others to do the
same.
"Brandino went to the same elite arching school as me. We were top of the class together. I never knew he'd stoop
so low as to become a thief." He called up to our teammates, "Everyone stay under cover. Only move out from shelter to attack. Keep moving and you might not get hit. I'll keep him busy while you all move in to give group two backup. Move, move, move!" I started to object, but thought better of it. This fight was between them. We leapt down the rest of the way to the ground and ran into the fray. I didn't look back.
[P.O.V. Black]
After the first wave
"We need backup over here!" I heard Pookey call. I rushed over, sorting my chemicals as I went. I wasn't going to be
caught off guard by another chemical disaster. There were four of them: a heavy, a pyro, a mage, and another chemist, yet they were holding their own pretty decently. They'd dropped some of our new recruits already and Daniel was doing his best to try to heal the fallen. However, he appeared to be having a rough time of it, and had to back out often because he was being targeted. I ran over beside him, ignoring the massive chaotic mess going on, and dropped some health potions at his feet. He, in turn, hit me with his sword, which sent a shiver down my spine. It didn't hurt, but it did tingle and felt cold to the touch. I looked down into my bag and noticed my health potions were replenished.
"Still have no idea how you do that, but I love it!" I yelled. He laughed a little and shooed me away before tending to
the injured again. I raced away to try to find SoCool. Him being a soldier, he could really use some speed potions. I was stopped by what appeared to be a firework heading my way. I shielded my face and the blast hit me head on, knocking me off my feet. I struggled upright in time to see another heading straight for me. I sidestepped, but stumbled as my foot became encased in ice. I growled under my breath and looked up to see the mage readying another spell. The sky turned dark and there was a flash of light before something struck me. It sent a shock through me that shook me to the core. I frantically tried to escape the ice, but my foot was stuck fast. I looked up to see the mage right above me.
"See ya on the other side!" they said, raising another spell. I reached into my pocket for the familiar shape of one of
my potions. finding it, I whipped it at them, causing it to explode in their face. Toxic sludge clung to their skin and bubbled. They screamed and dropped their spell, giving me enough time to cut away the icy seal and knock the mage out of my way. I needed to find SoCool fast. I passed by many teammates falling victim to the enemy and I threw out constant health potions. Soon I was out of the healing solution and had to just keep running. Finally I saw SoCool running atop the buildings. He was being pursued by someone very fast and very nimble, because he was dodging everything SoCool was throwing at him. I called up to him and SoCool glanced my way. He turned towards me and jumped off the roof, landing at my feet.
Mind helping me with this loser?" he pleaded, turning in time to miss being stabbed. I pulled my sword out and
thrust towards where the attack was a moment ago. He was behind me in a second and I attempted to move out of the way. I felt a sharp pain in my left side and gasped, staggering. Taking a few steps, I managed to get to the side of a building before collapsing from shock. My vision was going blurry and I was having difficulty making out sounds. I barely noticed SoCool leap in and grab me up before I was engulfed in darkness.
[P.O.V. Lionaa]
In her tent
He knew. Unifier knew about me killing Eil for his position. He had to be silenced at all cost. James ran in, startling
me out of my thoughts.
"Lionaa. the blue team has attacked! They're in our camp and I think they're heading for the flag room! What are
your orders, ma'am?" I turned slowly, attempting to hide my laughter. This was perfect! I'd send Unifier to his death and blame it on blue team! I noticed James backing up a little bit and composed myself.
"You will do whatever is necessary to ensure they don't get that flag. It's ours and we're keeping it. Do whatever you
like. I'm going to help the team." I saw James salute and run out of the tent towards the flag room. I laughed then. I laughed so loud I was sure some of my soldiers heard me. Such wonderful timing, really. I'd be done with Unifier then. Who needed him anyway? I ran out of my tent and searched for our dear pyro. He was near the edge of the clearing heading towards the flag room. Perfect. I motioned for him to follow me and he nodded, changing his course to follow me back towards the bushes. His pace slowed when he realized where we were going. Smart kid, I had to admit.
"What do you think you're doing Lionaa? The enemy is the other direction!" He called, stopping now. I sighed
inwardly and turned. I had to think fast.
"I know a roundabout way that will take us up behind them. You and me can take them out there quickly. Come on.
We're wasting time." I began running again, but didn't hear footsteps following me. Turning once more, I saw him standing there pondering. "Unifier. Don't you want to help your teammates? Stop dawdling!" That would surely get him to move. Sweet Unifier would do anything to help his teammates. He seemed to question my words, but stomped his foot and ran after me. I gave a little smile and ran off into the thicket. We ended up in a clearing and I stopped. Unifier crashed through right after me and I allowed a little chuckle to escape. He stood gasping for breath and when I looked at him he was glaring at me.
"So where's this path that takes us behind the team?" He questioned in between breaths. I chuckled again.
"You mean you haven't figured it out yet?" He stopped gasping and stood stock still, "You didn't think I'd let you tell
everyone about my little accident with Eil, now did you?" His eyes widened slightly and he reached for his bow. I reacted quickly and stopped him in his tracks with a freeze spell. He stood glaring at me.
"I knew it was you. I knew you killed Eil just so you could become captain!" He yelled, furious now. I laughed and
readied a damage spell.
"Yes. I killed Eil. He was a nuisance. It was saddening that it had to end that way, but he didn't take kindly to my
suggestion for him to step down peacefully. So I took care of business. Now I'm here to take care of you!" I shot my damage spell, hitting him square in the chest and knocking the wind out of him. I readied another one and shot again. Another direct hit. The ice shattered and he staggered, reaching for his bow once more. I threw a flame spell at him, giving him a taste of his own medicine.
"Now now. You wouldn't want to fight fire with fire, now would you?" I mocked, dancing around him as he lay on
the ground. He continued to try to struggle and I gave him another damage spell. He became still, staring up at the canopy of leaves above him, and I readied one last spell to end it. His head turned slightly towards me and I was slightly taken aback to see tears in his eyes.
"You and I could be helping our teammates right now. They need me and one day they'll find out what you did." I
faked a sob.
"Oh no. One day the wind will come and whisper all my secrets to the world. Whatever will I do? Think of it this
way. I'm sending you to go see your good friend Eil. You should be thanking me." And with that, my lightning bolt hit home.

That's it for chapter 4 guys! I've colored the teams so you know who's who. I hope you enjoyed this one. it took around 3 hours to type, so fun stuff. I have a lot more planned, so stick around! Bai for now! ^-^
