    Who We Are
We are a group dedicated to offering the latest and most recent results of CTF Matches. If you are not familiar with the CTF Team Scene, please use the resources below:

We offer the latest coverage and information of CTF matches, usually officials and event matches. Such coverage will be interviews, recordings, commentary, articles, notes, and predictions of future matches. Overall, the group will work as a team to offer the latest information about the CTF Team Scene involving matches and anything decided by the writers and approved by the group. Our goal is to cover and gain information and insight on every single official match possible. The plan is to compile enough people working different jobs to record, commentate, write a overview of the match, and interview players in each specific match, to create a specialized article for each individual official match. We will then combine these articles with other articles covering other individual matches. This will offer a wide choice of information to the community for links to commentary and recordings of the match in interest, show accurate scores, summarize the match, and offer interviews of players from teams. Also, these can act as a archive of recordings and information that are easily obtainable.

    Roles
Here at Match Spotlight Weekly, we compile roles chosen and designed for your choosing and liking, so that not only are you helping out and informing the community, but that you may enjoy it at the same time  Our goal is to create a user friendly group acting as a weekly news team focusing on the CTF team scene. With that in mind, we require many roles to work together to create a final piece. Here are the roles we have in mind, please keep in mind that we may always add more. Roles can stack, ie a recorder can be a commentator, writer, and interview. You may cover as many roles that you wish and qualify for.

    Leader:
A leaders job shall vary depending on which role they lead, since there will be a leader for specific roles. They will be in-charge of a department. For example, there will be a leader for the recording team/commentators. The person in charge of this department would ideally be a moderator, since moderators have the permissions to and are required for the setting of the average player to spectate. They would have a active group of commentators of their choosing to assist them in chosen matches and recordings. I would like to invite @b0squet, since I believe this could benefit him by offering him a choice of commentators in matches, and he also actively records and commentates/refs ctf matches.

    Recorder:
The job of a recorder is to record matches with a team of commentators. The requirements of a recorder is to have recording software, and slight editing capabilities/appropriate timing on footage. A recorder can also be classified as a commentator, although a mic is not needed to be a recorder, unlike a commentator. If you apply for this role, please give link to your channel/footage showing that you can offer quality footage with minimal lag and decent editing capabilities. Recorders will not always need commentators, but commentators may be more helpful/usually give a more interesting pov.

    Commentator:
Commentators team with recorders to aid in the recordings of matches. They point out mechanics, plays, rule breaks, questionable events, and overall anything that might spark interest in the match. A mic is required for this role.

    Interviewer:
Interviewers will create questions and take exact quotes from interviews that they conduct. The idea is to interview players/teams before and after ctf matches, and ask them questions that may pertain to a teams plans, roster changes, moods, and related. Not all teams may be interested or have the time to make room for interviewers, so interviewers will need to work as a team to create appropriate questions, and plan ahead of time to schedule interviewers and work with writers to share the results of interviews.

    Writer:
The goal of a writer is to select specific matches, spectate, and to take down and write highlights of specific matches. They are supposed to work with recorders to get their povs and interviewers to get interviews on the match. Only one writer will be needed per match, but obviously there can be multiple writers filling the position, since this won't exactly be a easy job. You will need to be consistent with your work and be able to submit articles on time. Teamwork is key.

    Analyst:
The job of an analyst is to predict future matches results, teams roster, and overall relevant things in the ctf team scene. Analysts should work together yet feel competitive to share their input with the community. Analysts should always act courteous to other teams though, and refrain from throwing shade, and should be appropriate/on topic with their comments. For example, lets say that team A vs team B is going to occur next week. As an analyst, I would say that both teams are good, although team A recently has been showing more success, and has been able to beat teams that team B hasn't been able to. They should feel free to guess scores to, and have a friendly competitive nature with other analysts to try to be more precise then the others.

As Match Spotlight Weekly progresses, more roles may be added to allocate additional room for players, and a larger variety of roles.

More roles can always be added in the future, if you believe there are some more possible roles, please tell us either in the comments or in pms.

    Application
Here at Match Spotlight Weekly, we have requirements for not only the roles, but in general. We require that you have knowledge about the CTF Teams System, and how it works. We want Match Spotlight Weekly to be a opportunity towards many members in the community, not a elitist group only letting in specific players. If we feel that you do not have enough experience, please refer to the links above, and feel free to ask questions to myself and other experienced ctfers. If you are denied from Match Spotlight Weekly due to experience, you are always allowed to spectate matches that both teams give consent to. Skype will be required, and for recorders/commentators, discord will most likely be the preferred method of communications for calls. It will be up to the leader of the recording department.

    Team Consent List
For the average player to receive spectator perms, they will need consent from both teams playing in the specified match. To make this rule more convenient, we will be gathering a list of teams that have pre allowed consent to spectate/record matches. This will relieve stress on both spectators and representatives alike. Teams will be allowed blacklists for individuals that they do not want to be present, and if a individual is on the blacklist for a team, they cannot spectate/record matches for that team unless taken off. Here is a list of all the teams that have given consent to matches being spectated/recorded, and we hope that all teams may allow us to add them to the list. Teams, if you wish to be added to the consenting list, have the representative either state it to me on PM or the thread, and include the blacklist if you have one. I will also be asking teams to signup.

We have a few rules to our spectators to try to benefit the teams additionally. These benefits include our "No call" policy, which means that our spectators will not call out rule breaks, and instead leave it to the mods. This ensures that no false calls occur.

Our other rule is that spectators DO NOT type in the chat, unless it is a simple command like /gj or such. Off topic events may result in a mute by moderators, as this is something @b0squet has supposedly been enforcing as I have been told.

    Consenting teams list:

      • Unity
      • TC
      • RR
      • BK
      • MI
      • DF
      • Anni
      • TTT
      • TT
      • Defy
      • ADV
      • TNSE
      • WT
    Teams denying consent:
    • SN
Blacklist- TTT has blacklisted STQ and all of BK, TT/Unity/TC has a private blacklist.

Note: Teams which request not to be added to the consent list will NOT receive Match Spotlight Weekly benefits.

Role: Recorder. I use Fraps to record my videos in 720p (60 fps) and without any lag at all. There may be fps drops time to time but that is occasional. I then use Sony Vegas Pro 13 to edit and render my videos. I can decently edit videos and render/upload them quickly when needed.
    My channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFAal6BWtZGbLak2OQsX0Hg
I try to upload at least once a week or maybe even twice, but sometimes I may be busy.
    Timezone: GMT
Experience/knowledge of CTF teams: My first team was a year ago called The Unicorns (TU), then after that I took a short break and returned in October 2015. When I returned, I joined TPala 2.0. After that disbanded, I joined XG and then DD. Now I lead a team w/ TomD53 called Unity and it began in June 2016 and it's been successful since then.
Do you have a mic/can you actively talk when in calls: Yes.
Anything else we should know: If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I will answer them when I can.

Experience/knowledge of CTF teams: I am on SN and was on TBF, TOL, and Hypin. I have played PPM's and Offs and Unoffs. I joined CTF Teams on October 2015. But I started playing CTF in February of 2014. I was asked by Dan_7777777 to join SN on New Year's Day 2016 and I accepeted the offer. Since then I have not left SN.

Do you have a mic/can you actively talk when in calls: Uhhhhhhhhhh, I am very shy to talk, but still, I will try my best

Anything else we should know: I usually suggest things that we should work on/ things that we did well after each match on SN. I like to predict and suggest roles for each player (since I know alot of people thoroughly) and suggest types of plays and formations that could be used to help teams attain caps.

Experience/knowledge of CTF teams: From the long time that I've been playing CTF, I've been in three teams so far. TBF (8 months), Genetic (5 months), Deception (4 months), in which I eventually became officer/council member in two of them (TBF & Decep). I played in most of the matches while I was on those teams as I never really did anything else on weekends so I have a lot of experience with team matches in general.

Anything else we should know: Do you request brawl's intervention or involvement (aka the media team or youtube channel). So far the response from them has been (not quote) "standby" and they want to see how your project goes, so I can't guarantee brawl's support to this.

Role: Analyst. I'm a math tutor at my college and I recently took a class in Elementary Statistics which I passed with an A. Statistics fascinates me when its combined with something I'm interested in. Case in point: I spent a ton of time, dozens of hours at least, making statistical models and predictions during the 2016 Democratic Presidential Primaries (I also watch baseball standings, scores, and rosters a lot). I'm interested in CTF, I've played it for almost 4 years, and I have more than enough time for making predictions so I think this would be a role where I could do very well in.

Experience/knowledge of CTF teams: I was one of the original members of the first CTF Team, The Red Flaggers (TRF), over three and a half years ago. I was with TRF in various capacities (from an actual team player to a chat randy) for a little over a year (until mid 2014). Since that time I have been a mercenary for several squads including the Arrow Squad and a merc for The Blue Flaggers (although I didn't do much because TBF stopped playing matches around the time I joined).
