    Hello,​

    Last October I thought it would be a good idea to put together a podcast for discussing CTF classes, updates, money, or even hosting interviews with various staff members who've been around a while or are trying to change things up.

    I got the idea from listening to a few hours of the Baited! podcast (found here) which was a three man podcast focused around internet Drama/scandals hosted by Colossaliscrazy with Keemstar and TommyC as guests. It was a fantastic setting to have long, drawn out discussions about various topics and/or issues, mainly since you got a better idea of people's views on things without having to read a massive text wall. That's what I'm hoping to achieve here with the Nerfed podcast (stupid name, I know, but it was either that or WOOL).

    The first podcast, about Elf and what to do with it, is set for April 19 (subject to change) and unlike that one CTF story it will actually happen. Each podcast will have 5 people. For this podcast they are:

    Purpose of this thread: to gather questions/comments from community members about Elf and what to do or not do with it. This podcast will have a heavy emphasis on this thread and some of the responses so please submit relevant questions or comments.

    That's why I recommended that question. So the community actually knows for sure. If they aren't willing to answer that, even for reasons out of their control, that's not being very transparent with your community.

    Mage is currently an intentional elf counter, however some of the mage spells interact incorrectly with the elf shield, specifically the damage spell.

    Tbh there should be a left click ability for the water element where you can remove any fire in an area of radius 3x3 and the cooldown being like 5 seconds

    If you read the first issue of CCM, Wintergreen3 outlined what the CTF Committee had in mind for the game as of last month. That being said, it may have obviously changed and it would be great to get an updated version of their list.


    My Questions for the participants:
    1. Is there a new mechanic of some sort that could be easily implemented that would completely change the way that CTF is played as a whole? Would it be a new class mechanic, something to do with maps, or something completely different?

    2. Along the lines of my previous question, what do you guys think of a new mechanic similar to zone control, that allowed for forward spawns? There could be 2-3 places on the map that are neutral at the beginning of each match and were fought over much like zone control. When captured, they remain in the hands of the capturing team and provide another place to spawn. Whenever you die, you respawn at whichever point is closer to your point of death. Would that be too complicated, or a plausible addition to add flavor to CTF?

    Will you make elf easier to play? As of right now there only a few good people that are good with elf that pop into mind.
    Also what changes will be made to elf's interaction with mage of all aspects? (e.g current bugs, but also new ideas)

    Might have already been asked, but what role in CTF is Elf suppose to be mainly?

    Are you thinking of adding some trait to the Elf class to make it better at defending?

    What combo is the best to use with elf (generally)?

    Is another use for the water arrow going to be implemented?
